Message from Owner: Maggie keeps escaping our fence.. This is the second time she has gotten out.. She is 12 years old, a very sweet and smart dog.. Please let me know if you see her..

If you're in the Goldsboro area, stop by Pet Supplies Plus where they have generously set up a donation bin for JCAPL! The bin will be out through July 23, right up front by the registers. Pet Supplies Plus is located at 319 N. Berkley Blvd. in Goldsboro.

Stop by and drop in some of our most needed items, like cat/kitten food, dog/puppy food, kitty litter, puppy pads, and more. Our pups and kitties say thank you!

UPDATE: REUNITED!! Unknown is home safe & sound after 1 days, 8 hours :)

Please spread the word so we can reunite this found dog with its family! FOUND on July 2, 2025 in Kenly, NC 27542 near hwy 222

Description: Found dog crossing 222 in Kenly this morning (7/2). She has a collar, and is very sweet. Vet checked, she doesn't have a chip. Proof of ownership is a must, trying to get her soon!

We have so many fun opportunities coming up to help the animals you won't believe it! We'll start off with the July - August events:

- Pet Supplies Plus donation bin - 319 N Berkeley Blvd, Goldsboro - through July 23
- Panera Bread - July 19, 4-8pm - 15 Cabela Drive Garner (see important details at https://jcapl.org/blog/panera-fundraiser/)
- Pampered Chef Double Donations in August - online - stay tuned for details!

It's impossible to be as cool as Penny in this heat. But you can come close by sponsoring a spot on our adoption folders! For a donation of only $75, you can grab an advertising spot on our folders that will go home with our next 1000+ adopters. Very important papers are stored in these folders, sure to hang around the homes of new dog and cat owners for a long time!

Message from Owner: Maverick is a beloved member of our family and we miss him dearly!!! Truly my best little buddy!! He is a very sweet boy and will come to you if you call with pspspsps. If you have any information please call. Thank you!!!

Description: He is microchipped and currently only wearing a GREY flea/tick collar. It was too large so the end of the collar has been cut to fit better.

Kitten season-a cute name for a terrible thing. They are everywhere, in backyards, under dumpsters, everywhere! It is impossible to help them all, but we help as much as we can. Here are two of the recent lucky ones, new JCAPL kitties Jeepers and Dempsey.

Please remember our upcoming fundraisers- Panera Bread on July 19 and Pampered Chef in August. We also plan to do a White Swan BBQ and a Paint Your Pet fundraiser in the next few months. We appreciate your support!

goes by Smokey
Short hair black/brown dog with small white marking on his chest.
Brown eyes and slight chunky
Breed unknown (we think he is a lab mix but is a bit small for a lab) he is super sweet and loves people and is scared of loud sounds. Please let us know if you see him. He might be around the Cleveland area in NC near Clayton, as that’s where he used to live.

Description: Short hair black dog (looks brown in some lights) with small white marking on his chest. He is short to the ground and slight chunky. He has a perfect little swirl/curl on his chest. He doesn’t have a collar on.
