A few new Rat titles this past weekend for Neu-Rodes Rotts.
Big congrats to September and Tasha for finishing their RATN with a High in Class and getting her first open leg in under a minute!

Gucci rocked her way to Senior! 4/4 at ARC (picture by Elise Berg) in Novice at the end of April. End of May she earned her Open title, and 3/3 in Senior at the end of June trial in Grants Pass- with panties on!

Surprise Title this weekend for one of our Neu-Rodes girls!!! Jenga spent a few weeks in Colorado with her new friend Britney Mazzer. The day the entries for the trial closed she tested her with goats and we entered the Packleader AKC herding trial.
Big thank you to Brit (and Renegade) for giving Jenga a crash course on herding and earning her PT!!

As we drive the last leg home from Colorado, I wanted to put together a recap of the ARC National, but it turns out to be a lot!!! To keep this post shorter, I will just use call names, no titles.

We are proud of every Neu-Rodes dog that showed up and competed in something! It's fun to see the puppies who have moved away from our area. Kudos to every one of you for working with your dogs and traveling to venues to compete!

Pictures are all from the week. Neu-Rodes was represented in Tracking, Scent work, Carting, Obedience, Rally, Herding, Barn Hunt, and of course conformation.

Here are some highlights;
RENEGADE- Reserve High in Trial and High Rott for his Herding Started A course cattle title!
CX Title, 1st place
RM Title, 1st, 2nd, 2nd
Also titled in Scent work (SEN) and Herding Intermediate (HIDs) over the week.

TONIC -
New title RN and BN
Qualified 6 runs in Scent Work.

SENSEI-
New titles: CS, CI, RN
Represented well in Best of Breed and Masters Barn Hunt.

KODA-
1st in Veteran 7-9 class
Showed in Carting and Obedience, but excelled in Agility starting her agility career as a Veteran in Novice!

SAMMY-
Represented owner handled in Best of Breed, did team Carting and earnee first Open legs in Barn Hunt with 2 High in Class... wish he could have come back Sunday!

BOWTIE-
Showed in Best of Breed, obedience and Rally.

KYA-
Reserve WB at the Regional and won her competitive 15 to 18 class at the National.
Earned 14 Qs in scent work with 6 first places and a High in Trial Novice, and HIT Advanced!

ASHLEY-
(NeuRodes mom)
High in Trial x 3
High Combined x 3

FALKA (not NeuRodes but extended family) we got to dance in the Top 20 and she completed some Herding titles.

Friendly, energetic, sweet Rottweiler named Rubie looking for a new forever family. Currently being fostered by someone in Gresham, Oregon.

Vet estimates her to be between 1 and 3 years of age. Seems to be good with other dogs and friendly with people.
Weighs 75 pounds.

Surrendered by a homeless person, so no known history. Being treated for some minor injuries and worn down pads.

Not chipped or spayed but seems like someone cared for her at one time.

Neu-Rodes had a great day at the American Rottweiler Club 2024 National Carting Test:
First in CI AND High in Test with a perfect score, "Pasta"!!!

First in CX with a beautiful (almost flawless) run "Renegade" and Britney.

First in CI Team "Pasta and Beaches"

Second in CS and third in CI with two "199's Sensei"

Fourth place with the fastest run of the day and a 198, "Jenga"

Congratulations to Lorri and Electra on earning the last element for their AKC Scent Work Excellent Title!!! To earn this title a dog has to recognize several scents and find them in various situations (inside, outside, in containers and in dirt or water). It is similar to how dogs are taught to find drugs or cancer cells or bed bugs.
It takes some dedication for 12 qualifying runs at each level.

Big shout out to Billy McFarland for becoming friendly with a puppy we sold to his area and taking him on as a show project!!! Billy showed Meatball from start to finish earning his Championship with several majors. Our goal was for him to make Beaches her 8th Champion in 2023 but a snow storm stopped him from getting to the last shows of the year.
