Despite the hard work and occasional heartbreak, the joy I see in people's eyes when they meet their new pets reminds me of why I continue to share my love of the breed with others.

I'm always up for an adventure. I found a kitten from a breeder in China and reached out. After a long wait and 5 hours of driving and 7 hours of flying to and from Los Angeles within a 24-hour period, she's finally here! Working with foreign breeders can be risky, especially with language barriers. But I couldn't be happier with Jiaozi (Josie) Dumpling, who has a stunning appearance, great temperament, and amazing personality. She never missed a beat, purring and making biscuits, and slept right next to me all night. Welcome to Heart ♥️ of Texas Ragdolls! The stewardess on our flight back to Dallas even made an announcement to everyone that the beautiful kitten needed to stay on the plane😂😂😂

Today has been bittersweet; saying goodbye to our 8th graders is always emotional, but exiting the current Tennyson Middle School building for the last time before its demolition next week was particularly poignant. I spent the majority of my educational career under this leaky roof and am grateful for the memories made and lives influenced within these walls.
