This beautiful girl came to us yesterday. She’s a former breeder momma that wasn’t wanted anymore. Jasmine is a 6 year old cane corso. She’s up to date on vaccinations, flea treated, and wormed. She is scheduled to be spayed soon. She is also crate trained and seems to enjoy lounging in her crate. Jasmine loves giving kisses and covering everyone in drool. She seems to be dog selective. Some dogs she enjoys being with and others not so much. She loves her new toys. It’s unknown if she ever had toys before, she does resource guard them though. Overall Jasmine is extremely sweet, loving, and drooly. She is an amazing dog. She needs a family who can make her forget all the years of breeding and being used to make money. A few weeks ago we took this handsome little guy into the rescue. He was surrendered from a breeder because he had a heart murmur. He haven’t wanted to post much on him until we had confirmation on his diagnosis. Unfortunately, the original doctor was correct and he does have a severe grade 5 heart murmur. Diagnostics already show his heart is very enlarged. He was started on medication on Monday. He’s only 3 months old and is still growing, so he will be going back to the vet at least once a month to adjust medication levels and monitor his condition. He is going to be considered a fospice dog, as his condition is already serious and there are no good options for treatment at this time other than the medications. We would consider a foster family for him if they can dedicate their time to giving this boy the best life he can have. His life expectancy is not good. The doctors believe he will likely be in full heart failure by his first birthday and likely not live past his second. Our sweet boy deserves to be spoiled and loved till that time comes. Miss Minne has come completely out of her shell and is loving life again. She still needs to put on some more weight, but she’s eating like a champ so it won’t take too long. Minnie loves to run and play. She doesn’t quite know what it is to bring a toy back, but she’s perfectly content just chasing after it. Minnie is part malinois and is fairly high energy. She will need a family that is active and includes Minnie in their activities. We still need to dog test her yet, but she appears to be selective. She greets some of our dogs with sniffs and kisses through their crates and other dogs she growls and barks at. Minnie loves people though. She’s a little slow to warm up, but once she does she will be your shadow. Minnie does need to have her vetting completed, but we will accept applications for her. Diablo
Who is looking for a dog that looks a little derpy, but is actually pretty smart? Rocky
German Shepherd lovers need to check out this boy. Rocky has come a long way in a short time. This boy was badly neglected for years. When he came to us he had pressure sores all over his body and he snapped at pretty much everyone out of fear. Rocky has since been vetted and his sores have healed. He’s also had time to learn that there really are good people who will take care of him and love him.
Rocky is still a strong minded German Shepherd. He does still remember what happened to him before he was rescued. Smokey is one of the sweetest and happiest dogs you will ever meet. All this guy needs is his ball and his person and he is in heaven. Smokey came to us very sick. He was underweight, coughing up blood from untreated heartworm disease, and had an injured hip. Now he is a healthy weight, the heartworm disease symptoms have been treated and the disease itself will be treated next week. He will be neutered and have his hip repaired after he recovers from the heartworm treatment. We would love to find Smokey a foster home or foster to adopt home to recover in. Congratulations to Russell! He has been in a foster to adopt home, but his adoption is finally official! Russell came to us at Christmas time with his two brothers after they were found abandoned on the ridge. Miss Jenna has been doing absolutely amazing in her foster home. We can’t believe no one has been interested in this beautiful girl. She absolutely adores people. She loves doing pretty much anything with them, so she is the perfect companion for any outdoor activities.
