Please share! We are always kind to you when you come to our family business that we work so hard to build for our community and this is how you repay us. And just so you know, this is only one camera. We have you on all our cameras as you took advantage of us being low staffed. And to think you brought in all those little children with you who saw how you behaved. You tried to hurt and grab the bettas in the bowls and punched the axolotl tank. 😞 A big thank you to our dear customer who alerted us that you guys stole from us. Please do not come back to our store. We have reported all of the camera footage to the police. And we have cameras on the outside of our building as well.

It's official! Starting now! We are undergoing a complete store renovation and retail store name change because we don't just sell cichlids and we have saltwater now! To make more room we are selling most of our show tanks at prices to move and also selling our beloved and precious show fish, except Bubbles and Daisy from our show room. We will have the biggest sale in Super Cichlids history to move most of the product in our store. This includes 90% of our brands. We are also selling fixtures and display stands as we transition. We are combining our hatchery and our retail store under one roof so it's going to be very efficient and convenient! We are excited about this new awesome layout so please excuse our mess for the next few months. We are also in the process to becoming one of the largest distributors of live and freeze dried blackworms in the industry which is crazy exciting! We want to put our store on the map! We hope you swim along for the ride with us my friends! We sincerely appreciate you more than you'll ever know!

We want to let you know that Super Cichlids will no longer be offering Xtreme Fish Foods, effective immediately. After four years of partnership with Xtreme, in particular the last year has led us to make this decision. We believe this is the best course of action for our small, veteran-owned business and our customers.

As we transition away from Xtreme Fish Foods, we will be offering our remaining stock at discounted prices until it is sold out starting Friday, August 16. Once our current inventory is gone, we will not restock these items. If you would like to continue purchasing Xtreme Fish Foods, we recommend buying from another reputable source. If you have any questions, concerns or need recommendations for alternative fish foods, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Clay Crawford was one of the first fish hobbyist I met that always chatted with me and treated me as an equal even though his knowledge was way superior to mine. He always welcomed my company and listened to me with enthusiasm. I respected him with every ounce of my being. Clay was a lovely soul with such a kind heart. The world is less beautiful without him. I am utterly crushed to my core. I’m so thankful my last memory was seeing him a few weeks ago at the Jersey auction where we gave each other a big hug and had a lovely chat. Clay my friend, you will always be loved, respected and remembered. You’ll always have a place in my heart.

Here is a tank of Stendker German Discus from a very dear customer of ours for many years. He switched over from African Cichlids to discus fish! A bit of a Rant here…. USPS has been terrible lately, more than usual. I guarantee the mailman ran over this package. We feel so trapped using USPS because we have to offer free shipping and that means we cannot afford to pay for expensive, high quality shippers. We send off a package it’s out of our hands. We (and other businesses) are not purposely delaying the package in any way so do not hate the sender. I notice my customers that come directly to my website for orders are always so kind if they ever have an issue and we resolve it every time. I love you guys, truly! ❤️

Our EBay/Amazon customers are like, “where’s my package?! I demand a refund!” Even if it’s just delayed a bit because they put their order in on a Sunday at 10:00 p.m. and Monday is a holiday and they expect it Tuesday morning. I’m serious, we have had a few of these messages. And many times when it’s delayed, by a week or so, we re-resend the product and pay shipping costs again and ask the customer to just “return to sender” when the second package arrives so we can get some sort of reimbursement because it wasn’t our fault at all. Only twice in 8 years have we ever received that second shipment back from an honest customer. We check the tracking and see the second package was delivered, and yes, it’s usually delivered before the one that was resent and the customer just keeps both. 😞

So please remember, be understanding and know that the sender is not trying to do you wrong in any way. We want your business, we want you happy! We want you to come back! We are under the mercy of the shipper. And of course, USPS makes us pay to resend your package back out even if it’s their fault so know that, yes, your package may be delayed but it hurts us too. And 95% of the time, we do not get reimbursed for missing, damaged or late packages. They are pretty savvy about the process and set you up for failure so you don’t get reimbursed, especially if the package is finally delivered and we already resent it out.
