I’m old. I am much weaker than I use to be. Can’t do all the things I want or even need to do for myself anymore. I hate to have to ask for help. It makes me feel even older and much worse. It would be good if my children would just be concerned enough to ask me if I needed anything.

Please remember my little rescue when you are donating. There are just over 100 animals on the refuge that depend on donations from folks like you. RRRAR is a place for rehabing wildlife, orphaned bottle babies, at risk Great Danes, and fosters for the local shelters. Also TNR ... spay and neuter all pets... Help me help them!! Thanks y'all! 🩷

If your dog's or cat’s mouth smells bad... there might be a problem. Check the roof of their mouth for something stuck up there... common in chewers. Things like sticks get stuck in the roof of their mouths and they have no way to get them out. The most common causes of bad breath in dogs and cats are bad oral hygiene and periodontal disease. ... If your dog or cat is not a chewer and you do not regularly brush his teeth or have his teeth cleaned, then the most likely cause of his bad breath is plaque build-up. Over time, poor oral hygiene can lead to periodontal disease. This leads to kidney and heart troubles!! Your vet can clean their teeth giving you a healthier pet with much better breath.

Our Story

A 501c3 non profit organization located in Deep East Texas in the Piney Woods close to the Louisiana border, just outside the tiny town of Cushing. My name is Chris Cross and I am the only person that cares for over 100 animals. I fund most of this out of my own pocket so I depend on your donations to save lives. RRRAR Inc. is mainly a wildlife refuge. A place for wildlife to be safe and run free. I am a retired wildlife rehabber, and vet tech. But I also rescue at risk Great Danes, foster for the local shelters and raise bottle kittens. There have been a lot of exotic critters come to the refuge... from parrots, rheas, wolves, big cats, to even a buffalo!! Ecclesiastes 3:19 For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity.
