So these 2 trouble makers decided to take advantage of a gate left open and took themselves on a jaunt around the neighborhood. After an hour and a half reports of sightings started coming in from our watchful (read 'watchful', not 'nosy' 🤣) neighborhood fb group. I was driving to last seen locations to find they had run off to the next.
Finally caught up with them on the main street heading away from our neighborhood 😖 Storm jumped straight in the car, Kahlua declined my invitation and preferred to turn tail and run straight home through the farmland behind our house.
On another note, if anyone is looking to adopt a human teenager (who left aforementioned gate open) to adopt - I have one free to a good home. Scratch that, free to any home good or not. He did not enjoy spending his Saturday bathing and grooming both dogs and picking out 1 million stickers from very tight poodle curls!

P.S. Butter is perfect (as usual) and did not take advantage of the chance for freedom!

Umm, can we all take a moment and appreciate how stinkin cute Mr Ramses is? This kid fell on his feet that's for sure! He gets to keep his name, has a wonderful new family and a (somewhat reluctant) new brother Ryder 💜💛💚

Last but definitely not least! Mr Ramses found his perfect home with a wonderful family and an awesome bunch of kids 🥰 my ❤ is happy... we will miss him for sure!

When the weather is nice we take the grooming table outside. Mr Ramses is 👀 for a 🏠. He's 3 months old, had his second shots and doing very well with training. Potties outside, sits and shakes and sits politely waiting for the ok to eat. Stands well for grooming. He is a real love muffin. REDUCED! PM me!!

**UPDATE** Sekhmet has a wonderful new family! Just the wooly mammoth to go!

These 2 cuties are still needing homes! I'm not sure how they have been overlooked except for the fact they were born with black coats. The irony is that neither are actually black dogs, Sekhmet (left) with be Salt n Pepper Silver & Ramses (right) will be Golden (you can see the color he will end up on his legs). Sekhmet LOVES water - I will post a separate video of her 'swimming' & Ramses is a snuggle bug. He has to be near you, or preferably, on you.

SPA DAY!! After being mucky pups I spent the morning bathing, drying and grooming 5 puppies. Before and after pics of them - except Butter as I did her last and had run out of energy by then!
I use a forced-air dryer like the ones they use in the grooming salons, it can be a bit scary at first for the pups but they get used to it and it is important training as they will be regulars at grooming salons for their entire lives so they need to get used to it early. The forced air dyer is my absolute favorite grooming tool, it blows the hair out straight so they have the fluffy teddy-bear look, if they are left to air dry the hair is curlier and not as fluffy. It also cuts the drying time down to about 7 minutes per pup.
Mazzy was the best to bathe and groom, she was the only one that didn't try to leap off the grooming table with no thought to personal safety - Butter was the worst 😂 - she wanted to bite the scary wind snake monster! She settled down though and got through it.

At almost 4 weeks old the puppies have transitioned out of the whelping box to their puppy enclosure. They started solids yesterday and if you look closely there is an imposter in the mix. Meet Butter our new Aussie female from my good friend Lisa Tanner, she will be the future of our program 🤞. She's definitely a cutie and while Storm is a bit confused she is mothering her already...

Updated pics of the babies 5 days old! They are all gaining weight, snuggling and sleeping a lot! Momma has started taking longer breaks out of the whelping box and is loving playing fetch in between feeding the monsters 😍🐾🐾

Puppies twitch alot while they are sleeping. This is called active sleeping and is stimulating the puppies growing muscles. They look like they are dreaming about chasing squirrels or running agility lol

So it looks like we are all done at 9. 6 girls 3 boys. All 3 Blue Merle are female, 1 female red Merle, 1 female and 1 male Sable Merle 1 black & white female, 1 black phantom male and 1 chocolate male. All doing well and fighting for milk 🥰 I will post individual pics later today.

10 days to go! Storm is in full coat and very chunky and floofy. Shes still a happy girl and loves exploring the yard and playing fetch with Autumn.
