This is our other new rescue, Maya. She is about 8 months old and has an issue with her eye. She is just adorable. Once again, a very kind person found her starving behind a restaurant and restored her to health. She is a sweet trusting dog now because of that person. She surrendered her to us last week.

Please don’t fall for breeder nonsense when choosing a puppy.

A puppy does not require “curriculum” to learn smell.
Playing recordings of thunder does not make your puppy calmer during a thunderstorm. Fear of loud noises does not work that way.
Most dogs do not need to be “service animals” and will never be.
It’s nice that someone tests for known genetic diseases, but X-rays of joints do not indicate if your puppy will have degenerative joint issues (unless all parent siblings were evaluated).

Chances are these puppies are simply overpriced.

My tiny toy poodle is in heat. She is inside her crate and out of reach but the Pyredoodle males still like to walk by and it makes her nervous. So, I broke out the ginger snap cookies. They forgot about her completely! Aha!

Excuse my pajamas 🙄 This is just an example of how much a healthy puppy and calm dog can mend the heart of a shy one. Look at the improved friendliness of this rescue dog who previously would never approach me.
