It may seem a little big at first, but this is actually the perfect size cage for most conures, from green cheeks, to sun conures and nandays. It has 5/8 inch bar spacing so it give plenty of room inside of the cage for perches, toys, and movement while not allowing space between the bars for your feathered friend to get caught or injure themselves. It is the exact cage I have for my black capped conure, Jackson.

Do you know what size cage to get for your bird? The gold standard is at least double the fully expanded wing-span of your bird. Now, a blue fronted amazon has an average wing-span of 28" so that means they should be in a cage at least 56" wide which is not feasible for most people. That is why out of cage time is so important. It gives your bird time to stretch their wings, fly, and interact with you.

The Space Ball is a great toy for medium to large birds. It is all plastic with movable beads and hangs from a plastic chain. My amazon had one, and it was his favorite adversary to "fight". The great thing about it being all plastic is it makes it very easy to wash and sanitize if it gets dirty, like toys are going to do with our birds either with droppings or flung food.
