Well it's that time of year! We need to stock up on hay for winter and we'd love your help! We've got 250 bales reserved with our hay supplier and volunteers ready to trailer it and load it into our hay barn, we just need your support to purchase them! Unfortunately with fuel prices and the drought, hay prices are at a premium and a bit higher than in previous years, so our goal is $3500 but the good news is that amount will see us through until spring.

The great news is this year we were able to provide EquiBuddies day camps, lessons and special visits for over 20 new families and old friends. Annie, Rosie and Princess were the best teachers and this year even Mango and Jasper got to work with the kids. So your contribution helps us provide for our equines who give so much of their big hearts (and butts) to our students all summer long.

WOW! EquiBuddies Summer 2022 is a wrap!
We had an amazing group of kids, horses and volunteers this summer! We saw old friends, made lots of new friends and learned lots of horse stuff and I couldn't be more proud! Thank you everyone for some really great 2022 memories!

Thank you to my diehard volunteers! The winds made clean up day challenging but we got it done and everyone was a HUGE help! Despite 44mph wind gusts which kept us from doing much outside the barn, we got most of the inside of the barn all spiffy for spring and summer! So thank you all!!!

Well it's that time of year! The weather is getting warmer, the days are longer and the horses are ready to meet new friends so here's our summer "day camp" schedule! Whoohoo!

Each day will start at 9am and include learning about horses, grooming horses, riding horses and even a take home craft related to... you guessed it, HORSES! :) The day will also include a basic lunch and snack and wrap up around 2ish.

We will also need volunteers on these days to help with the horses, so let us know if you or someone you know is interested in helping... So be sure to sign up today!

WAIT... WHO are we?? We are an all-inclusive equestrian center specializing in all ages activities with horses just off 285 in the town of Jefferson. We offer activities from grooming, riding, lessons, kids day programs, adult fun days, volunteering opportunities and more. We are hard at work getting our 2022 schedule together for our day camps and we hope to have a few options available each month to hopefully meet everyone's schedules and we should have that out soon.

If you are new to EquiGrace, we specialize in hands-on learning and riding in a smaller group setting for both 5-9 and 10-14 age groups to ensure safe, age appropriate quality time with our staff and horses. We focus on the fundamentals of horse care both in the barn and on the horse through activities designed to be fun and engaging while focusing on all things related to horses, friends and teamwork.

If you are interested in signing up one day or multiple days this summer, or you have a special date request, just let us know. If you have a small group of of four or more and would like to come out for a day, we can also schedule a private camp day tailored just for your group. So please let us know if you would be interested in reserving a day or multiple days and we'll do our best to make it happen!

Thank you everyone who ordered tshirts and made direct donations! We raised roughly $1200 towards the $1900 that bought this lovely taste tested-horse approved 12,000 pounds (or 6 tons) of hay to get its through the winter. So I thought you'd all like to see what your love and support gets! We couldn't do this with out you! We love you all!

Challenges come in all forms. Although this little one has horses of his own, he still gets anxious around them. With the help of "Rock Solid Rosie" and "Predictable Princess" and some helpful human buddies, we worked through it and found a great moment of success.

People sometimes ask if we are a therapeutic riding center and although that's where we started 15 years ago, we eventually saw a larger need to provide more for our students and families. So what we embrace is an all inclusive learning for EVERYONE. Children and adults of ALL abilities are welcome to come and learn and experience the joy of being around horses.

Horses are excellent teachers. They teach us about life skills that can be used in our everyday life just by being ...a horse. They're big, non-verbal, complicated thinkers who live by a set of group rules that provide structure in their lives . They rely on each other in their herd to understand and live by these rules in order to survive and thrive. Ironically, many of these skills and rules can be applied to our world and this is where we come in.

Independence, problem solving, communication, teamwork, consequence, forgiveness, family, achievement, patience... these are just a few of the life skills horses can help us work on.

At EquiGrace, our goal is to provide these opportunities to anyone who wants to experience horses in a safe and enriching environment in all areas of horsemanship, not just riding. All our horses are specially trained to be calm and quiet, and although they are wonderful, like us, they are not perfect and each one offers challenges we can all learn from to be our best selves.

Well it's been a few years since we did a t-shirt fundraiser so I though I'd give all our new friends a chance to get one (or 2 or 5) and all our old friends a shot at some new styles and colors. Each shirt sold puts about $11 directly back into the program so this year we'd love to raise money for hay for the winter and we need to hit 150 shirts in order to do that.

We've used bonfire before and its simple to use and the shirts are sent directly to you and they are great quality, so what better way to show your love and support by wearing it around town!! So check out the new colors, styles and sizes!

And as always, we thank everyone for ALL their love and support all year long. We couldn't do this without our friends, family, students and fans!

It was great to see old friends reunite! Because of timing and a pandemic, it's been 2 years since this young gentleman and Annie have seen each other! Let's just say they were mutually happy to see each other.

I can not say thank you enough to our EquiGrace volunteers, the Elders from the Buena Vista Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and my husband for spending a full hard days work towards finishing our arena! So maybe it's not horse related, but after we got done scrubbing the water tub and while we were waiting for it to fill up, we decided to take a break to try fishing the creek and Look! He caught a brook trout!!! (ME? Yea, no, I just hooked myself... and lost my boot in the mud...) And don't worry, the close up picture is Noah releasing the fish who swam off easily.
