Interesting case came in today from a great trainer explaining the horse just had stopped responding well to the bridal. Well I believe we found the problem !!🧐😳 Finding sticks and other foreign objects lodged in the pallet of a horse’s mouth is not as rare as you might think. Thankfully this trainer was in tune enough with the horse to know something was up. We also addressed the large hooks,ramps,and other imbalances to get this gelding back on track in his training.

It’s not real often that I find this but the 206 has erupted in about 90 degrees in the opposite position that it should .

This mare was brought to me with the owner explaining severe head tilting while riding and had been taken to several veterinarians who said they could not explain why. Well it didn’t take long to discover the issue !!

We have been treating a number of ponies and miniature breeds recently, so thought we would share an interesting case each week in August
Did you know that because of the size of their heads and comparatively large size of their teeth, ponies and miniature breeds are prone to a number of dental conditions, such as overcrowding and tooth root infections?
Check out this skull from a young miniature pony with some of the outer bone removed, showing the size of the teeth compared to the size of the head.
