Pitties are almost completely on us - just a $25 adoption fee (vs normal $150 fee) with an approved application. But hurry! This sale ends on February 28th!

Purrs & Tail wags to you for your generous donation! The dogs and cats appreciate your support 🐾🐾 ❤️

Big success at the Missouri Senate Charity Bowling Tournament. This year’s charity was the Parkville Animal Shelter. We raised over $42,000 for the Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter to care for dogs and cats in the Northland until they find a permanent home. Thank you to everyone who supported the event!

We are in need of canned dog food and Mr. Clean multi surface cleaner for the dog house. Below are some examples of what we use that is on our Amazon Wishlist and below is the link
If you would prefer to buy local and drop off at the dog house the shelter the address is 1356 9 Hwy Parkville, MO. 64152. We have a large brown deck box in front of the dog house for donations and the shelter main gate is open from 5AM-5PM every day. If you are sending through Amazon the items will be delivered to the address next door where a shelter volunteer lives. Thank you for your support. How is everyone feeling with our second big snow of the year?? ❄️ We know that number 1, we miss when it was warm, and number 2 our kitties love to watch that snow fall 😺 Here is a nice little pick me up for everyone braving the Missouri weather: our weekly adoptions! We had a good week this week with 5 kitties finding their furever homes. A bunch of these babies were actual babies! So many kittens went home, but we have so many cats still available for adoption through us.

Come visit us on Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM to find your soulmate - we promise there’s so many sweet kitties you’ll meet. Mochi (left) & Chewy were adopted just in time to be home and warm before the snowstorm came. Their new family are a part of our FOPAS family as they have recently started volunteering at the dog house. They met and fell in love with Chewy & Mochi and we couldn’t be happier for all of them. The pups have more human siblings and a cat waiting for them at home. Thank you for adopting and volunteering with FOPAS. Congratulations on taking in these two little seniors.

Julia’s Dog of the Week is Pebbles, a 50 lbs pit mix with an approximate DOB of November 2022. She’s stressed at the shelter and we would like to see her in a permanent home or in a foster home. She does well with male dogs her size and bigger. Females are iffy and no little dogs or cats for her.
We have an adoption special for Valentine’s Day starting today for our pit mixes: $25 until March 31st with an approved preadopt. If you are interested, please fill out an application here:

Here we are with the adoption updates!! ❤️ The sweetest babies were adopted this weekend, making it home before the cold, cold weather came back. Of course, we have plenty of other kitties snuggled up at our shelter waiting to find their forever homes. 🐱

Julia’s dogs of the week are Chewy (left) he is a 6 yrs old Yorkie mix & Mochi (right) she is an Angel Doll Shih Tzu she is 12 yrs old. Both dogs came back to FOPAS when their mom went into assisted living and could no longer care for them. They will be going to the groomer this week too. Since Chewy is bonded to Mochi we would like to find them a home together. Weekly adoption report! We had so many sweet kitties find their furever homes this week. Cake, one of the cats that was adopted, never even made it on our website prior to getting adopted! We would love to see more of this ❤️❤️
