💔 Winifred didn’t make it. 💔
During surgery, her little body crashed — and despite every effort, we couldn’t bring her back.
We have no words right now. Our hearts are shattered. You never get used to this — the moments where you replay their videos, their love, their trust, and you’re crushed knowing that no matter how hard you tried, the outcome didn’t change.
This loss was 100% preventable.
Winfred’s condition — a uterine prolapse — happens when the uterus is pushed out of the body, often after giving birth. It’s an emergency that causes immense pain, infection, and bleeding. If she had been spayed, this never would have happened.
This is why spaying and neutering is so important. It’s not just about population control — it’s about preventing unnecessary suffering and loss.
We’re exhausted.
The constant calls for help, saying yes to the ones no one else will, and then watching them slip away despite doing everything in our power—it breaks you. The emotional toll is heavy, and the financial strain from the nonstop medical cases is even heavier.
R.I.P. Winifred. We’re so sorry, sweet girl. 🤍🌈
