Q: Is the price worth it?

A: The price of Total Equine vs. a competitive product must be compared on a daily cost basis. Compared to most any pelleted product, the feeding rate is quite low at 4.0 lb./day vs. 6.0 to 10.0 lb./day for most all pelleted feeds. Also, the feeding rate of Total Equine does not increase with increased activity as most competitive products do. The other factor is the intake of hay. When feeding Total Equine, the hay intake decreases. So to compare the cost per day one must add the daily cost of Total Equine and the hay at a rate at least 15 to 20% less than they eat with a competitive product to the cost of the other feed per day and the hay cost. Generally, the Total Equine plus hay is less cost per day than the competitive product and hay.
