Exploration Dog Camp

Well, I couldn't stay away from dogs for too long! We are back and training down in Southern VT! I'm now offering group socialization for dogs of all social abilities! Please share with friends.

I'm also offering private training in Windham County and surrounding areas.

A group for dogs of all social abilities to work on their manners, socialize, and interact in a controlled setting with trainer direction.

It was my last day of camp today and I feel ALL the emotions. Excited for the next chapter of my life and starting a new career I’ve been passionate about for as long as I can remember. Terrified to stop doing what I know and love to explore the unknown. Sadness at leaving all the dogs and my amazing clients…I’m feeling all the feels!

But what a blast this last 7 years has been, I’ve learned and grown so much and want to sincerely thank all my amazing clients for all of their support along the way. Exploration could not have existed without you and your wonderful pups and for that I will be forever grateful!! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️

I’ve had a lot of questions recently about how Mason has been doing and I realized I never posted an update after his first hospital stay.

Mason was diagnosed with a heart condition when he was 5 years old and he just recently turned 11.over the past 6 years his disease has been steadily progressing, but really came to a head at the beginning of the year. Back in January he is was in hospital due to multiple collapsing events, and was diagnosed with AFib and was put on new medication. In February we had to make another trip to the ER for an over night stay for the same issue. He also had a couple of bouts with congestive heart failure that month. Over the last 3 months he has been through a lot. We were told back in March that his prognosis was days to weeks.

After A LOT of tinkering with medication Mason is finally in a stable place and we went from “days to weeks” to “a month to two months” to now “he should have a great summer”!!

We are very hopeful! Masons days look a bit different now. He is officially retired from camp (which he is VERY happy about), and is loving life as an office dog at home with Hayden. He still enjoys his outside time, just in smaller doses. And is being spoiled rotten with his own pint of ice cream in the freezer at all times.

I so appreciate everyone who continues to check in on him and just wanted everyone to know how he is doing.
