The Stewart family recently stopped by MARL to visit with our cats. They took a fancy to Duchess, a cute female tabby kitten. At home is dog Kang age 1 year. One of our application questions is how would you handle destructive behavior. Mom Elise said no problem, that Kang has already handled that. So, sounds like they are going to just wait out the puppy and kitten destructive stage before new furniture. Great idea! Their pets are inside and best of all mom works from home several days a week. Thank you Stewart family for choosing Duchess and for adopting from MARL.

****Update***: We looked till we couldn’t last night and still haven’t found Deuce. We’re out looking again for the day; if anyone sees him or has any more suggestions on what else we can do to help find and bring him home please let us know! Thank y’all for helping, we appreciate it and deucer would too.

11/28 12pm: Deuce is out lost and was last seen about an hour ago in strawberry patch park by MRA.
He was originally in the area of strawberry cafe and that shopping center off of depot Dr so he’s traveled a long way, frantically.
We’ve been searching everywhere surrounding the park where he was last seen and are still looking.
Please help us find our baby. Any spottings or help is very appreciated. We are searching aimlessly and he is probably roaming aimlessly as we live no where near.
He is more than likely scared and frantic so please call if you see him and we will come immediately while an eye is kept on his location!!!!!
His collar has a plaque with my name and number engraved on it but he may be too scared to let anyone close enough to obtain it.

🍁Thanksgiving tips to keep your pet safe, happy, and healthy 🍁

🍁Be mindful of what your pet is eating!
• Human food and table scraps may make your pet happy temporarily but it’s important to ensure you are aware of if that food or scrap is safe for your pet. Sweet potato, pumpkin, green beans, or a couple pieces of plain turkey make for a great treat for your pet however turkey bones, stuffing, seasoned foods, garlic, onions, and desserts may harm your pet.

🍁Be proactive and prevent dog bites!
• Incidents of dog bites soar during the holidays. This is due to several factors including but not limited to, unfamiliar people, loud noises, territorial defense, routine changes, and resource guarding. All of these bites are preventable.

🍁If your pet does experience an emergency during the holidays, when your normal veterinarian is closed, please contact your local veterinary ER.

We’ve put together a huge gallery with over 45 photos of adorable pups looking for loving homes. 🐾 Whether they’re big, medium, or smaller, all these dogs are sweet, friendly, and ready to find their forever family. Some love being the only dog, some play well with others, and many are great with kids and even cats!

All these pups are available for just $130, which includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate shots, and a microchip ! Many are already spayed or neutered and can go home today—others need to stay for their surgery date.
