INCLEMENT WEATHER NOTICE:
Due to the weather we will not open to the public this afternoon. We want to make sure our employees are able to get home safely. If you have animals to turn in, please hold them until Tuesday. We will reopen normal business hours Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Thank you for understanding!

Blue is a super friendly, active puppy. He is a 6 month old Weimaraner. He gets along well with other dogs. He walks well on a leash. He would love a home with a fenced in backyard and space to play and exercise. His adoption fee of $130 includes age appropriate shots, neutering, and microchipping. Pretty Ruby was brought in by one of our animal control partners. No one called looking for this cute girl and she had no ID or chip. She is just a baby and we are glad the officer picked her up to keep her safe. Ruby is about 2 months old and appears to be a Rottie Shepherd mix. She is very loving and enjoys attention and she will have plenty of both with the Thames Family. Mom is retired and Ruby is going to love that. In addition, she has 2 canine siblings, Booy, a 3 yr old Boxer and Daisy, an 8 yr old Dachshund plus 12 yr old cat, Mall. All are fixed and inside pets. The dogs have a fenced yard for safe play time. This pretty puppy is going to stir things up a little, or maybe a lot, at the Thames household. Look at this beautiful girl! Niki was brought to us as a stray. She had ID, no chip and no one called for her. Ron fell in love with this sweet girl when he saw her photo. He had a Healer for 13 years and knows about the breed. Niki has the best new family with Ron and his wife. Niki will be an inside dog but has a yard with a privacy fence and plenty of room to run. Mandy, a 4 month old Jack Russell mix came in with 2 litter mates. Her sister was adopted recently and Friday was Mandy's adoption day. She was adopted by Garry and Brenda Moran. They lost their last dog, Baby Girl age 19 years to cancer. They missing the sound of puppy paws in the house and were ready to open their hearts to a new family member. Also at home is cat Rosie and she is missing Baby Girl as well. Mandy has a great new home and family and best of all, mom and dad are retired. That leaves a lot of time to spoil this sweet girl. Mandy's brother, Chester is still available for adoption.

Lisa and David Bynum lost their sweet cat Zorro in the fall. Zorro lived a wonderful 19 years with the Bynum Family. They were finally ready to bring a new cat home and we are so excited they stopped by MARL to check out our cats and kittens. They fell in love with Kai, a 3 month old blue grey kitten with a medium coat, (check out that fluffy tail). Kai has personality for sure and their 10 and 14 year old were so excited that she was going home with them. Also at home is their Boxer, Rufus who knows a good bit about cats. They will be best buddies in no time. Thank you so much Bynum Family for adopting Kai and for adopting from MARL.

We love updates on our babies! We had a great update this week from Tony Pace. He adopted Asher on January 11th and he is growing so fast . Tony wrote, "He is the biggest baby and is so happy! He loves to snuggle and gives kisses! He's potty trained, likes to fetch, go for walks, and loves to go for rides! He also sits on command and sits as we give him two scoops of food into his bowl. He waits for the second scoop! Thank you for what you do!" Thank you so much Tony for sharing Asher's update. What a wonderful new family this boy has!

Precious Tina was brought in as a stray. She had no ID or chip and we received no calls for her. We cannot imagine what this tiny girl was doing out on the streets but we are so grateful to the kind person who picked her up. Tina has the absolute best new mom! Ashley is super pet mom for sure. She shares her home dogs Lenniz, a 3 year old Curr, Cooper, a 5 year old Great Dane mix, Idgie a 1 year old Lab and cats, Mable 19 years, Felix 18 years and Elanor 8 months. All of Ashley's babies are fixed and all live inside. How sweet is this new family for little Tina? Thank you so much Ashley for finding room in your home and in your heart for this sweet girl. Maggie Hollingsworth visited our shelter to look for a kitten to add to her family . She and her husband William already have a cat at home and thought he would like a little cat company. Their cat Puck, is an 8 month old neutered male and still has a lot of kitten in him. Maxine was the chosen kitten to help Puck use some of his big kitten energy. While he is older and certainly larger than this dainty girl, we bet Maxine will be in charge of all things cats in no time. Ace is a handsome 1 year old Husky/Shepherd mix. His person was working long hours and felt Ace needed a family who could give him more time and attention. Nikki and David Hollis fell in love with this playful boy. They were excited to add him to their family that also includes their dog Rosco, a 3 year old neutered German Shepherd and Gypsy, their 12 year old cat. Ace will have a great time with his new fur siblings and he likes cats as well as dogs. He will have a great time playing with Rosco in fenced back yard. All the Hollis pets are inside with family and we think makes for a perfect new home for Ace. Thank you Nikki and David for choosing Ace and for adopting from MARL.

Sandy a beautiful Doodle mix, was adopted by Tammie Scott. We think it was love at first sight for both Sandy and Tammie. Sandy has a fenced yard for outside time at her new home but will be an inside dog. Best of all, Sandy will be home alone for only about 4 hours a day. Just enough nap time to be ready to play with Tammie when she gets home. We think this is just the sweetest picture. Thank you so much Tammie for adopting sweet Sandy and for adopting from MARL.
