AKC confirms GCH CH K2’s Golden Rule (aka Nugget) has earned her bronze!

Nugget is the puppy I swore I wouldn’t keep. And she just kept proving me wrong. In fact, I think she lives to prove me wrong.

Thank you, Mike and Sara Luther of Velocity handling  for always making her look great, and always having to place that back right foot at least three times for every table, just because its Nugget. Thank you for sacrificing your fingers to her enthusiasm. But mostly Thank you for the reassurances that sometimes the ones that test you the most are the ones that really shine in the show.

While Nugget might be retired from confirmation, we are going to see what she thinks of fast cat and barn hunt. Maybe even plan a litter for her this time 🙂

Just made me LOL.

I still love puppies just as much as when I had my first litter, probably more as I appreciate the work that goes into making my puppies what they are WAY more than I ever did.

This is my face when I just posted 47 picts of each puppy in 9 puppy litter and 2 days later 2 prospective new puppy owners ask me for more photos (or videos). Seriously, I get it, its a tough decision, but sometimes I do feel a bit like a serotonin dealer having to say no 🤣

Also, I get a lot, “do you miss the puppies when they leave?” I know (in general) I don’t have a poker face, but this is how I feel inside even though my face doesn’t look like that anymore. Yeah puppies are great for the first four weeks when mom does all the heavy lifting, after that, it’s all me all the time for four weeks. I miss the last one if I know I’m not going to have puppies for a while. If I know puppies are due soon, I’m cleaning, reorganizing to make the next round easier to clean and enjoy without as much work, and trying to jam as much relaxation into the next however-many weeks as possible.

I could continue with the many ways that this is applicable to raising puppies, but you get the general drift.

(One last thing… in that second photo… that shirt is NEVER pristine white like that. Jus’ sayin’)
