Coco puff 💗

Coco Puff is almost TOO perfect!

Her fosters (yes, she’s so special that she has TWO fosters who she alternates her time with) shared some of the reasons why she's the perfect companion:

🐶 Housetrained
🐶 Has excellent manners! She knows "sit," "stay," and "stop."
🐶 Takes great care of her stuffed animals (aka her “babies”) and is especially attached to her green frog toy.
🐶 LOVES to ride in the car. If she hears you getting ready to leave, she trots to the door to see if she can join you.
🐶 Likes to sleep in.
🐶 Sleeps through the night (thunderstorms don't even bother her!).
🐶 Enjoys basking in the sun.
🐶 Would do great in a home with other mellow dogs.
🐶 Laidback walking partner.
🐶 Happy to do her own thing but also loves to snuggle up with you on the couch.

We have become aware of a circulating scam where pet owners are contacted by individuals falsely claiming to represent our shelter. These individuals state that we have the owner’s missing pet in our care and request money, allegedly for the pet’s immediate medical expenses. They may ask owners to send funds via platforms like Apple Pay or Venmo, while falsifying their caller ID to appear as though the call is coming from our shelter.

Rest assured, the Fairfax County Animal Shelter does not ask for funds over the phone or in advance of picking up a lost pet. If you receive any suspicious communications claiming to be from us, please do not hesitate to hang up and contact us directly.
