The first of July starts our summer Texas dog shows. 1st is Dallas, which is a 4 day show, then San Antonio, which is a 3 day show, and finishing up "for me", is Dallas which is a 5 day show. I set out with two goals in mind. 1, finish Rae, and 2, finish her mother Estella Rosa. Rae and Estella Rosa both finished their championship while at the San Antonio Shows last weekend. This gave me the opportunity to focus on Rae at the Houston shows. Rae ended up Reserve to a major at the Bluebonnet Poodle Specialty in a beautiful lineup. She then went on to be select two days for grand-championship points. Rae is just a very young age of 7 1/2 months of age. She will take a month off to mature and rest. Am Ch Koehl's Rae Of Sunshine

Went Best of Variety two of the three days at the Abilene Kennel Club show under Mr & Mrs Larry Abbott.
This was her first big girl show, and she is now pointed towards her AKC championship! She is such a happy fun puppy to show.

"Skip-Luke" UPDATE
I have received several updates on Luke since he went to his new home. "I would say he has settled right in." From snuggling on the couch and rolling over for belly rubs, to hanging out in a vest similar to a kangaroo Joey. I am so blessed to have such great puppy owners!

Last week, Rae and I flew to Saint Louis for the yearly Poodle Club of America National Specialty. Rae showed in the begginer puply class and made the final cut. She did not get the win, but she did receive MANY beautiful compliments from many of the top poodle breeders. These compliments definitely outweigh the ribbons at the end of the day. Skip is available and ready for his forever family. Skip was whelped on October12th which puts him at about 5 1/2 months of age. He has a gorgeous coat "which would be wonderful for grooming competitions" a beautiful fun confident demeanor, he has a beautiful clean face with nice black pigment. He also has black toenails. This past weekend, my beautiful Onyx "Koehl's Lavender Tea" finished her AKC championship winning a 4 pt major at the Travis County Kennel Club. She was shown exclusively by me in the bred by class. Very proud of this accomplishment. Onyx is my first owner handler champion for me to finish.

Koehl's Lavender Tea "Onyx" had a great weekend in Belton, Texas Winning Winners and Best of Winners on Friday for 2 points, then winning Winners, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite S*x, and best Owner Handle Best of Breed Saturday for a 3 point major. So proud of her!

This past weekend, Koehl's Lavender Tea went Best Of Winners, Best Owner Handler, and Best Bred By handler at the Greater Houston Toy Club. I can not be any more prouder of my little Onyx. She is so much fun to show. "Onyx is 16 generation of the Koehl's lines."

Amazing how fast they settle into their new homes. Cirilla "Gumball" went home to her new home yesterday morning. Here, she is snuggling with her distant cousin Margot. I am so happy they have bonded so quickly.

Gumball has her forever home. So excited for Cirilla "Her new name" and her new family.

Honestly, I can not belive Gumdrop is still available. She is very small, and should mature to 9"- 9 1/4". Gumball "White", was born January 8th. Gumdrop "black", was born January 29th. These two girls range from 2lbs-2 1/2 pounds, and they are 6 1/2 & 7 months of age. Both have super sweet temperaments, and both come from AKC champion parents. They are small, but they are mighty!

Texaco will make an excellent addition to any red/apricot breeding program. His sire is an import, bringing in new genes to the US. Texaco has beautiful carriage with plenty of reach and drive. He has a beautiful headpiece, great coat, and nice length of neck and bone.
Texaco is ready for his show home. He was whelped November 26, 2022 "Just turned 6 months old". He measures 9 1/2" at this time, and he weighs right at 6 pounds. He has nice body, dark pigment, and excellent movement. Texaco is champion sired and ready for his new home.

Solo has made it to his new home. I am excited for his next journeys.
Solo is looking for his forever home. He is 11" at 11 months of age. I was sure hoping he could be shown, but he went over the 10" toy standard. His coat to die for. Dark toenails, and pigment really stand out up against is beautiful color. He is such a happy fun puppy.
Solo would be a great puppy for grooming competitions, or a young junior looking to show in Jr showmanship.
Or, he would LOVE to sit on your lap and give you kisses. He is so sweet!

Happy Saturday to all! I wanted to share that our web site is back up. The gentleman who was running it for me, passed away and his daughter turned his clients over to a company that would take over his clients. Well, the domain expired, and an email probably went out, but it went to George and therefore the koehlstoypoodles domain expired. To make a long story short, someone bought the koehlstoypoodles domain, and I had to find a new one.
So our new domain is koehltoypoodles.com. I dropped the s in koehls to try and keep it as close to original domain as possible.
