Saw this cool honeycomb setup at my client’s house today - then I found out she’s an experienced beekeeper with lots of love and passion to her bees! She generously gave me the fresh honey to try and it’s heavenly! The local honey is also good for allergy. Check out her website and order from her:

My client’s sister needs to rehome her dog. This is what she wrote about Luna, who is two years old.

HERE IS SOME INFORMATION ABOUT LUNA🙏🏼🩷

- The vet told me she might be a corgi mixed with chihuahua but it is not confirmed.
- She's currently about 23 lbs. Medium size but she won't grow anymore.
- She's trained to do her businesses in the training pads. I usually use 2 pads per day. In the summer I take her outdoors more often usually right after she eats so she can do her business outside.
- She's usually friendly to other animals and playful. When we go on hikes and walks and we see others dogs we try to interact with them so she becomes even more comfortable around other dogs. And she's friendly with children. She hasn't really been around children but usually it takes her a moment to get comfortable and then she becomes very loving and playful with them.
- She's very energetic. Loves to run and be outdoors. At night she is very calm and likes to sleep with a blanket on her bed.
- Luna is very playful, loving, and protective doggie. She loves peanut butter and snacks. Once she gets to know you and feels comfortable around you she will give you all the love in the world. Very easy to shower her, once she knows that is time for a shower she'll take initiative and lean on the tub so you can shower her. She loves hiking and being outdoors and she won't go anywhere until she makes sure you are right behind her or in front of her. She usually stops to see if you're coming, then she keeps walking. Loves car rides. She immediately recognizes the places she has been to before and gets really excited once you take her to the same place (park) again. Also, she's not an aggressive dog.

Please spread the words.

Very true in pet hospice world too!

Time takes on a whole new meaning when you are told you have less of it left than you thought…

Each person I meet reminds me how truly fragile and precious life is, and to appreciate the additional time I am gifted with each new day I get to wake up to.

I take nothing for granted.
I savor each moment.

What I witness each day is life, and love, and the reminder to be thankful for the lessons, and all of my blessings.

Starting tomorrow, I will be taking a two-month-long sabbatical. I can't believe it's been seven years since I founded Compassion Pet Hospice in early 2015. I would like to take this time to rest, rejuvenate, and focus on spending quality time with family. Our office will be opened again on October 3rd, 2022. 🙏💕🐾

That’s a wonderful bucket list and the cutest ever 😍

My client hand crafted a wooden casket for my kitty patient, Lafcadio. They engraved her name on it. This is the window she loved to look out and the table she loved to stay. It’s so beautiful and sweet! Lafcadio will be dearly missed💕

Such a bittersweet goodbye! Love how the ice center accommodated Maggie’s owners’ request, so that Maggie can have her favorite snow when she fell asleep. 💕🐾

On this 20th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, we recognize the dogs of 9/11. In the days following Sept. 11, 2001, rescue workers and their canine partners went to Ground Zero to aid in rescue and recovery efforts. It is estimated that more than 300 dogs joined the endeavor, which initially included searching for the scent of survivors and later evolved into recovering the remains of victims and comforting those on site. https://www.911memorial.org/connect/blog/artifacts-tell-story-911-rescue-and-recovery-dogs-and-their-handlers

I’m so shocked and heartbroken about Dr. Kim’s passing. I first met her when I was a new vet at SF SPCA and she was working as a relief doctor back in 2008. She was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I remember I had a doxie patient that had paraparesis due to IVDD and owner couldn’t afford surgery. I referred them to see Dr. Kim for acupuncture and that dog walked again a month later! She truly had supernatural healing power. I wish I had a chance to work with her more. She’s truly an inspiration to everyone around her.

This world lost an awesome veterinarian and a wonderful person at the same time. Please keep Dr. Kim’s family and her colleagues at Chabot Veterinary Clinic in prayers. I can only imagine how difficult it is for them. 💔

We are heartbroken to share with our members and supporters that HRS veterinarian Dr. Michele Kim has passed unexpectedly. Her family would like their privacy respected during this time of mourning.

There are no words to express how much the team at House Rabbit Society will miss Dr. Kim. She was a tireless advocate for all animals, and anyone who had the pleasure of working and talking with her knew her patient and loving manner. She was an incredibly talented veterinarian who gave each animal her all. Her spirit of advocacy and care for rabbits will continue to inspire us.

“Dr. Kim’s gentle kindness, knowledge, and incredible talent existed through all of the animals that she helped, all the families she made more complete through helping their beloved companions, her colleagues that she learned from and taught and inspired, and her friends and family who she shared her life with,” said Dr. Anne Martin, executive director at House Rabbit Society. “I hold my cat close and remember how Dr. Kim cared for her when she was very sick—Dr. Kim lives on in her. And she amputated the injured toes of my rabbit, Trevor—Dr. Kim lives on in him. And with each of us who she taught and inspired—Dr. Kim lives on through us. May we continue to see her kindness, knowledge, and talent reflected back to us everywhere we look, and may it be a comfort that she will always be with us.”

Chabot Veterinary Clinic, where Dr. Kim also worked, has established a memorial fund in her honor to support rescue cats and rabbits. The fund will be used to ensure that rabbits and cats in need are not limited by finances. Donations can be directed to the Linus Memorial Fund, named after Dr. Kim’s beloved cat, at Chabot Veterinary Clinic located at 20877 Foothill Blvd, Hayward, CA 94541. For more information, either email [email protected] or call (510) 538-2330. Chabot is a for-profit clinic, so donations to the fund are not tax-deductible.
