Need'um Rescue Need'um Rescue pulls the majority of our shelter dogs from high kill shelters in TX and transport up to (previously MD/VA) now GA for adoption!.

ABOUT NEED'UM RESCUE: Need'um Rescue is foster based and most of our dogs originate from shelters out of state; the majority of our dogs come from high kill shelters in Texas, especially San Antonio, as they have been known to euthanize up to/over 20 dogs a day. The ones we are a blessing to save are then properly vetted and transported up to Virginia to be adopted into loving homes. We do require

a homecheck and there is an adoption fee for our dogs! VETTING: Every dog in this rescue's care is temperament tested, heartworm tested, fixed, up to date on shots, as well as microchipped before transport. Each dog comes with their own paperwork and all their medical records, including a health certificate stating that the dog has been cleared by a vet and is qualified to cross state lines. DONATIONS:
Unfortunately, Need'um Rescue is NOT a 501c3 just yet and therefore, everything this rescue does for these beautiful animals is out of pocket and without tax exemption. Boarding, transport, shelter adoption fees, medical bills, dog supplies (bowls, crates, collars, toys, leashes), etc and everything else needed for these dogs is all incredibly costly, therefore donations are very much appreciated!!! I will be posting a GoFundMe shortly, but if you'd like to donate to our dogs now, the PayPal account is [email protected]. If you leave leave your name in the comment box, I will make sure to thank personally for your donation and let you know which rescue dog your donation will be helping!! You can also call in pledges directly to the boarding or medical facilities if you feel more comfortable! We also accept donations of old dog items you arent using anymore, such as blankets, toys, doggy clothes, leashes, bowls, crates, etc...ANYTHING that you feel could be helpful in making these dogs feel more at home. FOSTERING: As I have stated above, Needham Rescue is completely foster based. Without temporary places for these dogs to go, millions of dogs a year never make it out of the shelters alive. Please consider opening your home for 2-3 weeks to one of our rescue dogs; the more fosters we find, the more lives we can save!! This rescue does provide a crate, bowls, and a leash to borrow during their temporary stay with you, however foster families are asked to provide their own food to cut costs. TRANSPORTING: We love our transporters!!! Many of our dogs need to catch a ride, whether it be to adoption events, vet visits, return trips to their fosters! Please let me know if you are interested in helping our pups get from one destination to another! Feel free to ask me any questions or contact me if you are interested in donating or becoming a foster! I can help you find a dog that's best suited for your families needs! Thank you again for your time!!

This adorable boy Mu isn’t doing well in the kennels and needs a foster/potential adopter to help him transition to house life again. He used to live inside (he’s potty trained) then became an outside dog. He needs love, attention, and patience. Mu completely shut down on me the other day. I don’t know if he likes cats but he loves kids and other dogs and loves to play. He is neutered with all his shots. Please reach out if you’re interested…

URGENT- FOSTER OR POTENTIAL ADOPTER NEEDED AROUND AUGUSTA, GA

This adorable boy Mu (2 years old) isn’t doing well in the kennels after his family gave him up and needs a foster or potential adopter ASAP to help him transition to house life again. He used to live inside (so he is potty trained) became an outside dog.

He needs love, attention, and patience. He completely shut down on me yesterday.

I don’t know if he likes cats but he loves kids and other dogs. He is neutered with all his shots. I can lend you whatever you need.

PLEASE SHARE - AROUND AUGUSTA GA

Still no foster and/or adopter for this boy. 😞😩

Zeus is one of the “lucky” ones..He just got here all the way from a boarding facility in Houston (after barely making it out of a high kill shelter and almost sent back due to his rescue abandoning him). This beautiful boy spent the last almost 2 years shoved in a crate for most of the day, waiting for his turn to have a family of his own. They never came.

This boy is amazing.

Zeus is fantastic with adults
Due to his anxiety, we prefer older kids
A huge snuggler
Dog friendly
CAT FRIENDLY
Heartworm -
Neutered
Up to date on shots
Dewormed
Potty trained
Cratetrained
Has a bit of separation anxiety - needs patience
Doesn’t pull in leash
Loves car rides

Zeus is working on his house training. He doesn’t know what is and isn’t a toy yet.
He has marked once or twice, so we are using a belly band to eliminated the problem, which has worked!

He comes with everything you need to foster this boy.

Please consider fostering or adopting Zeus. He deserves a chance!!!!

PLEASE SHARE - Seeking adopter around Augusta GA

Spikey Spike is the most incredible happy go licky boy who has been stuck in boarding for two years. We are seeking a family who will walk him to make sure he gets his exercise OR has a fenced back yard.

Spike does really well with female dogs and gravitates towards children. We are unsure about cats and frankly, we dont want to test that out lol

We THINK he is potty trained but just like with any new rescue dog, it is important to be patient the first few weeks after they enter your home!!

Please let us know if you’re interested in meeting Spike!!

FOSTERING TO ADOPT: Should you choose to adopt from Needum Rescue, we require you to foster the adoptable dog for a 2-3 week period minimum before committing to adopt. This is a forever situation, so we require our potential adopters to be 150% sure before choosing a dog. TRANSPORTING: We love our transporters!!!
