Special Announcement!!!

Even tho we have taken a sabbatical from breeding for a few years. Dari was collected and his semen was chilled and flown several states away where it was surgically implanted. Today we got confirmation that the female took and is carrying 4-6 pups. This is a big deal, cause a few other members of Japanese Akita Clubs in USA have not been successful with a Chilled Semen breeding. So Dari and Tofu are now the first success chilled semen breeding at this point here in the States. Lets hope for a good and easy delivery of some beautiful and healthy puppies in 3 weeks.

I wanted to give our followers a heads up on things happening here. We are going to take a 2 -3 year sabbatical from breeding roughly. We are planning on relocating our kennels to the Smoky Mountains area, from where I was raised part of my life. The climate there is better on the dogs and land is more easily available. Plus I get to return back home to a slower pace. This will take place in the near future we hope if all goes well. Once we are relocated and the new kennel building is built, we will start to import new lines with the help from a friend and mentor in JACA.

We currently are downsizing our kennel in preparation and have a few dogs we may sell to great homes, but we will definitely verify the homes and applicants very carefully, just as we do our pups. If you may be interested in a mature (4 - 6 year old) into your home, you can reach out to us. One white male, one red female MAY be available. All dogs were trained by a professional in basic obedience. They are either fixed or would be fixed before leaving us. Both are great with people, but like typical akitas, can be same s*x aggressive if provoked by another dog of same s*x. We are so happy in the pups we have provided over the years from our place here in S.C. and look forward in the future of doing this again. We may continue to show Dari at some shows. We are always available to answer questions about Akitas and to help people find a good breeder while we take this break. I will be staying in touch with JACA members and people I mentor as well.

Thank you, Kevin and the dogs of Kitsunebi Kensha.

If you are looking for a place to have your dog trained at for obedience or sporting, this is the place i recommend and have used myself for many years.

Take a step out of your comfort zone! You won’t regret it.

Well after a year away from the show ring, Dari and I decided to finish up some titles in the IABCA (International Dog Show Circuit) last weekend in Atlanta, GA

Last year (Feb 2020) Dari earned 5 - LV1 cards (highest score possible)
Last week he again earned 5 - LV1 cards.
So he ended up with his:
National Champion (NatCH)
Intentional Champion (IntCH)
Honors Champion (HnrCH).

Also since he earned his HnrCH he was put into the Gold Cup Series at the end of the show. This is a gathering of dogs from all breeds that have HnrCH title and higher and have a LV1 card during show. Dari was awarded Silver (2nd) in that special class among all the champion dogs present at show.

Dari also was automatically entered in the rare breed class at end of show and won Best in Show (BIS) of rare breeds.

What a weekend for this nice, handsome stud. Also we came home to find he has past all his OFA test (Hips, Eyes, Thyroid). He is now cleared to be used for stud service and to carry on our kennel growth. Could not be anymore prouder of this boy.
