***These Girls Blew Up Social Media for all the Wrong Reasons***
Intake Alert - Welcome Elsa and Anna!
We were hoping for a nice quiet slide into the weekend but that was not to be. These girls found themselves abandoned by their "owner" who no longer wanted them and when the local pound was full (aren't they all these days????) they were dumped.
Many thanks to the kind woman who got these girls off the busy street and to safety and posted their sad story on social media.
Our inbox blew up with notifications and our volunteers sprang into action to get these two beauties.
We don't know much about them - they are anywhere from 1-4? based on their teeth. Best guess 2 or 3.
Sadly we DO know the dumping "owner" was not their first "owner". So at their age, these girls have already been in 2 "homes".
We promise them the homes we find for them next will be their LAST and Forever homes.
Welcome girls - your lives just got a whole lot better we promise!
WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME. We do not know how they are with cats, kids, if they are housebroken, etc. so please don't ask. Thank you!
***Rollover for Clover!***
This is one special girl - 37 pounds of Lab mix with a huge Lab heart and desire to please.
This girl came to us as a stray from City Dogs and while physically healthy, she needed her ducks sorted so off to school she went!
Clover has excelled with her training and is ready to find her Forevers.
We'd like to find her a foster-to-adopt home - she still needs to be spayed and we'd like her in her home for that.
She needs a family or person who will feed her mind and keep her on track with her training - she is young and if left to her own devices she'll forget what she's learned.
She's a favorite at the rescue she is just so adorable and charming and eager!
If you'd like to be considered for foster to adopt please email [email protected].
Note: this is a very active girl who likes to play with others so if you've already have a senior citizen pooch at home she might be too much for them.
Thank you!
***Beatrice can Bea Your All!***
This lovely 3.5 year old former mill mama, one of those magical unicorns in silver, came to us half naked - but her fur is growing back with no stress and good nutrition!
She is a delight in her foster home - although her foster brother is not as thrilled with her joyful nature!
If you're looking for a young lady with a joie de vivre consider Bea - she'll delight your heart and soul - then smother you with hugs and cuddles!

***Simba can be the King of Your Heart!***
This little fellow is as cute as a button - a sweet yellow Lab mix of about 6 years old. He came to us as an unclaimed stray from Crawford Co Ohio.
He is a perfect gentleman in the house and loves nothing more than a good romp in the yard and snuggle in the house.
He is crate trained and housebroken and REQUIRES a nice doggie friend to keep him company when his humans are gone.
NO kitties he thinks they are something to chase ;-)

***Intake Alert - Welcome Sullivan!***
He came to us yesterday with no name, his years reflected in his senior eyes that have seen too much and shown by the frosted hairs on his dignified face.
Sullivan is our first intake of November, which is coincidentally Adopt a Senior Dog Month.
Even though we don't know his full story and never will, we can tell you he is one of the sweetest souls and will be looking for retirement sunbeams in a few weeks.
Welcome Sullivan!
***Intake Alert - Welcome Bella Rosa!***
We are still recovering from the large number of dogs we've rescued so far this year (114!) but could not let this sweet frightened girl end up at the receiving end of a terrible fate.
This is Bella Rosa, a cast-off from the puppy making business. No life experience at all, she is terrified - nothing makes sense to her even though it's a week today she's been with us.
She's a huge flight risk and right now we're working on showing her a routine, that she is safe, will get fed and it's safe to relieve herself (a dog feels vulnerable when doing that, their guard is down.)
This is NOT the life this girl or any other dog from mill or not deserves.
For heaven's sake TELL EVERYONE STOP buying puppies in pet stores, online, and of course from that "nice" quaint farm in one of Ohio's rural counties.
Educate yourself and others - the ONLY way this is going to end is when demand dries up.
We got this girl now and moving forward - and we wish it could be our last one but we know it won't :-(
Thank you for your support of our mission!
(Bailing Out Benji)
***Intake Alert - Dora the Explorer!***
This sweet chocolate girl is 8 years old and done with the mama life and is onto better things!
She completes our trifecta run in a long day and we're certain this people lover is going to thoroughly enjoy retirement!
Welcome Dora!

***Intake Alert - Welcome Susie Q!***
A part of our trifecta today, here is Susie Q, a real sweetheart who best guess is 7-9.
She showed up on some property in the Tusc/Wayne area and has been hanging around outside for a year!
We got the call to come get her so she did not have to spend another winter outside.
Welcome Susie Q! We promise you soft beds and indoor living from now on!
As always, we need fosters please consider opening your home and heart to one of our Labs or Lab mixes!

***Intake Alert - Welcome Madison!***
Also brought into care this pretty Fall day was sister to Yasmin, Madison.
Madison is also 3.5 years old and seems like a party girl.
She sees excited about the changes in her life which is nice to see in a dog who lived as she did.
Welcome to the good life Madison!
As always, we need fosters please consider opening your home and heart to one of our Labs or Lab mixes!

Yasmin is 3.5 years old and lovely girl. A little bit uncertain about the changes in her life today, as they all are.
Welcome to the good life Yasmin!

***Intake Alert - Welcome Pick a Month Litter!***
Yesterday we were on the road picking up these pups from a rural OH county.
They are Labrador Retriever x Golden Retriever mixes - 2 boys and 4 girls.
Welcome March, April, June, July, August and October!
They are at least 3-4 weeks away from being ready for adopters so please be patient as we get their intake vetting done and their weight up.
They are safe with fosters tonight (2 in PA and 4 in OH).
Thank you in advance for any donations towards their vetting <3
WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THEM and no, we don't know how they are with kids, other dogs, cats, etc. cuz we just got them!
