PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT.

Ollies Law is finally happening !!!! It has been a long procedure, but one well worth it ! Sweet Ollie was in daycare at an unlicensed, uninsured home daycare and was mauled to death by multiple dogs with no staff on site. This has been a long time coming and we are all happy about the oversight for legit business's and the shutting down of unlicensed, uninsured daycares and boarding places.

With the new law, comes new procedures that we need to follow. All dogs must have their rabies tag on their collar. There are many daycares that have 'naked' play so no dogs get their jaw stuck on anothers collar while playing. Many of us are calling for minor change in the law to allow continued 'naked' play with no collar on. Ollies Law states that all dogs in daycare or boarding MUST have their collar on with their rabies tag. Dogs playing with collars on are dangerous and can end up deadly.

For this reason, our daycare and boarding dogs will remain 'naked', however every dog MUST have their rabies tag on their collar.

Reminder: We are closed for daycare and boarding Jan 10 -17 so our staff can have a long over due rest to renew and refresh. We reopen saturday Jan 18.

The season is upon us. Hope everyone trimming the tree and wrapping gifts.

I need to reiterate to all our daycare and boarding clients, that in order for a boarding dog to be in daycare during their stay, your dog MUST be a regular daycare dog with us and must come to daycare a minimum of once weekly. The reasoning for this is because many boarding only dogs are not friendly with other dogs, and the most important reason is because our dogs in daycare groups have structured packs. Introducing a new dog constantly to an established pack causes chaos and anxiety for the dogs. Our process for introducing a new dog to an existing structured pack takes time, is gradual, and done with thought. Our very first priority is always the safety of all our happy campers, both daycare and boarding dogs. Our boarding dogs that do not go to daycare, are taken out with staff anywhere from 5 to 8 times a day for exercise, play, enrichment and extra butt scratches, which is usually much more than if they were at home. Plus they also get a bedtime outing by a staff member.

Thank you for your understanding. We appreciate each and every one of our clients for choosing us. It is a privilege for us to be able to spoil your dogs while you are away.

HELP NEEDED. This past saturday 11-30 , a dog got away from her new owner living in the Hillcrest Mobile Home Park, The woman has only had the dog for 2 weeks, so the dog does not know her way around. She is not a K9 Camp dog, she is a dog that needs everyone's help to get her back to her home. Most of you know my love for the hairless dogs, and this girl is hairless, which means she may not last much longer in this cold weather. Please be vigilant, keep your eyes open, check under decks, check your security cameras etc. This poor dog must be so very scared, cold, confused and hungry. If spotted, do not chase. Call the number listed on the flier. Lets help get this girl back home. Please share
