Meet Bowie!
Bowie is a 5 year old terrier mix and is just such a handsome gentleman! Bowie is one of our longest residents here at the shelter. He has been here since June 2019 and has spent the majority of his life in the shelter. But despite his long stay here he still hasn't lost his wonderful personality! Bowie is one of the most loveable dogs you'll ever meet! He loves to play and go on walks! The high stress of the shelter is not the place for such a sweet boy, he deserves a home where he can decompress and let all his worries melt away. Bowie would need a home where he is your one and only but with his larger than life personality he's the only boy you'll ever need. As is common with his breed he does have skin allergies but maintains well on apoquel and a fish diet. He is microchipped, UTD on vaccinations, and neutered. He also knows his basic commands and is housebroken.

He has been here since October 2023.
Atlas is a 6-year-young Pit Bull Terrier, weighing around 64 lbs. Atlas is working on his basic commands, leash walking and house training and he is very treat motivated. He loves playing fetch in the yard and spending time with his people. Atlas can be scared of things at first but gains confidence very quickly. He is very high energy and would do best in a home with older teens & adults. Unfortunately, Atlas is not good with small or large dogs and he is also not good with cats, he would need to be your one and only. Atlas would also do best in a home that can spend lots of time with him and work with him, as he does have severe separation anxiety. He would benefit from a good routine and even some basic obedience training. We know his perfect family is out there waiting to find him.

Fern is a 4 month old Domestic Short Hair who is ready to be your best friends!
Fern and his siblings came in with 4 other adult cats from a stray colony. Despite being stray's these little guys are the friendliest cats you'll ever meet! Fern enjoys spending the day playing and sunbathing with his siblings. He is UTD on vaccines and microchipped. We hate to see kittens growing up in a shelter and we are desperately searching for a home for these guys.

Meet Harley!
This beautiful Akita is ready for a home to call her very own. Harley can be very nervous and standoffish at first but is super affectionate once she opens up and gets to know you! Because of this, she would require MULTIPLE meet and greets, so please keep that in mind. She loves spending time with her people, playing in the yard, going for walks, and getting butt scratches. Harley loves to keep you company and will even sit next to you to give you kisses.
Harley is about 3 years old, UTD, spayed, and microchipped. She can be people selective and does not seem to like men. She would do best as the only pet in the home as she is not fond of dogs or cats. Because of the nature of her breed, we recommend that you have experience with Akitas.

Leaf is a 1-year-old DSH Tuxedo, who is microchipped, UTD on vaccines, and neutered. Leaf gets his name because he loves to chase leaves around in the wind! This boy is shy at first but quickly comes around for cuddles and to make biscuits. He gets really excited to see his best friend and brother Pepe!

Meet Kevin!
Kevin is a 2-1/2 year old Husky Retriever mix, weighing around 42 pounds. Kevin is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.
He is good with most dogs, but can be a bit rough while playing, so a dog his size and similar stamina would be ideal. He seems to be fine with cats, however we strongly recommend a home with no children due to his rambunctious nature.
Being as he is still young, he is very hyper and jumpy, sometimes he can be nippy (not in a mean way, more of an over excited way) but loves people and loves to be affectionate. If you give Kevin a tennis ball he will keep himself entertained forever, especially if you give him an audience. Kevin is housebroken and knows some basic commands, however he will need training and obedience classes as he doesn't always like to listen. With the proper dedicated training we are sure Kevin can be the best boy, he just needs someone to give him the chance. Due to his high energy levels, a home with a big yard and knowledge of dogs like Kevin are highly reccomended, as well as a home willing to work hard with him and keep him busy. He has a ton of pent up energy sitting in a kennel and loves to be outside in all kinds of weather.

Fiona and her three babies came to us as strays in early May. We can't understand how this beautiful girl hasn't found a home yet! While cautious at first, she quickly warms up and gives head bumps and looks for love and scratches. She loves to find cozy places to snuggle up and occasionally play with toys. Meet Mack (aka Mack-aroni)
Mack is a almost 8 years old shepherd mix. He came to the shelter in September of 2021 as a stray but has received little interest. While Mack initially takes a little cozying up with new people he eventually warms up and loves to show off his toys and give you all of his attention. He has a thyroid issue that makes him a little on the chunky side, but he is now on medication which has helped him lose a lot of his extra weight (and that is just more to love)! He is just a happy, goofy guy who loves to play fetch, and can often be seen carrying around a big stuffed animal! He loves people although due to his size a home without small children is highly recommended. Due to his long stay here a home without other dogs would be best, and we would recommend a feline free home as well. He is microchipped, UTD on vaccines, and neutered.

Mighty Athena!
She came to us in December 2023, and is currently one of our longest feline residents! Athena is a 2 year old domestic shorthair who is full of energy! She came to us timid and scared. It took consistent care and work with her to see that all she really wanted was love! She loves head scratches, rolling into a ball and stretching, her favorite toy is the cat tunnel! We are working hard to let her know what it is like to be safe and loved. She has come a long way and is super sweet and friendly! I'm kind of a shy guy so make sure you set aside some time to get to know me! I LOVE to play ball in the yard, it's my favorite! I also love playing with my stuffies and soaking up the sunshine. I'm very strong on the leash but do enjoy going for walks! I aim to please and am very treat motivated. Alli Has been with us since the end of 2023 and is one of our longer residents. Alli is a 3 year old Domestic Shorthair who is cute as can be! She loves warm hiding spots but will always come out to give some love! She’ll circle around you and rub up on you, she’s super cuddly and sweet. She also loves toys and her big pink pillow!
This full-grown queen bee is looking for a quiet home where she can relax and lounge around, if she isn't cozied up on her pillow you can find her perched up in her tower gazing out of the window. She would love to keep you to herself so you can spoil one another as she doesn't care for other cats. This big girl would love room to roam and make herself comfortable for those long cat naps.

While her brothers have both come out of their shells poor little Felicia is struggling to trust new humans. Felicia is looking for a home who can give her the time and energy to decompress and show her sweet side. Felicia enjoys exploring and spending time with other feline friends. Meet Carina! Carina is a 7 year old American Bully who is the spunkiest girl around! She is very petite, but she has a big dog personality! Carina enjoys playing but this certified couch potato would rather stay in and snuggle with you all day long. Carina is house trained and walks wonderfully on a leash. Our "kitten cam" is up and the adventure crew is enjoying their freedom from the cages. These boys are all still available for adoption 🩵
Meet Pinky! Pinky is a 5-year-old, white and orange, American Foxhound. Weighing around 47 lbs. (but is expected to gain weight as he was extremely emaciated). Pinky was brought to us after his owner packed up and abandoned their home, leaving poor Pinky behind to fend for himself. Without 'The Brain' to help him figure out a way to get help, it was time for us at the shelter to step in and save this sweet boy! Pinky is yet another dog that has entered our care severely dehydrated, emaciated, and starving for positive human interaction and love. It always amazes us when we take in an animal that has seen the worst side of a human and seen what they are capable of and still be so forgiving and want nothing more than to give and receive love. If you couldn't tell by the pictures of him laying and loving on our staff (which was taken a few minutes after Pinky arrived at our shelter) that he has the absolute biggest heart and is just the sweetest boy you will ever meet, than we don't know how else to convince you, other than asking you to fill out an application and coming to see for yourself! Pinky's favorite things to do, other than helping 'The Brain' figure out how to take over the world, are pretending to be a lap dog, being held like a baby, and running around like a mad man in the yard. He absolutely loves to be outside with his people and shows us each day what love is. We say it all the time, but dogs truly are the most forgiving and amazing creatures. With everything this boy went through, he is still as happy and playful as can be! Despite this sweet boy wanting to be friends with other dogs, he ultimately goes after them, so he will need to be in a dog free home, but with the amount of love he has you won't even notice! He also has pointing and tracking scents down, so we would suggest a home that is feline free and would likely make a great companion to someone! These two are the best of friends! Meet a few of our dog friendly girls here at the shelter! Tillie and Brandy both get along with other dogs and love playing and just hanging out in the yard with other dogs. They love to just have the company of another dog around to chase balls or chew on toys with and would make great companions to pups you already have or in a home together! 🩷🥰🩷
Sweet Brandy! Brandy is a 2-year-old cattle dog mix. She is a spunky and energetic girl which is fitting of her breed. Brandy seems to like most other dogs, and seems good with kids although due to her rambunctious nature older kids may be best! She is very curious about cats and we feel like it would be best if she was in a feline free home. As is typical with cattle dogs, Brandy does nip at times and tries to "herd" you when playing and would do best in a home that understands her breed and can keep her busy! She is learning "drop" as she does tend to grab her leash, and "no biting" when she nips, she also knows "sit' and a few other basic commands. It is important to us that her new family understands her needs and the "quirks" that come with cattle dogs. When she isn't busy trying to work, she enjoys laying in the sun and playing with her toys, she also loves soaking up the attention of her people. We are learning more about her the longer she is here! Brandy really enjoys rolling over for belly rubs and playing fetch (shes slowy catching on to bringing it back, but sometimes she would rather you just come pet her!) This sweet girl just needs the right family who can dedicate some time to train her and work with her, she is very smart and picks up on things quickly, she is also VERY treat motivated! Eeyore! Eeyore came to us as a frightened stray. In fact, his finder lovingly named him "fraidy" but we think "Eeyore" suits him more. He's a bashful guy at first but quickly warms up and wants love and attention (as you can clearly see, he can't get enough!). All Eeyore really needed was a little time and some affection to know that people aren't so bad, he's really come out of his shell in the last few weeks! He absolutely loves to tell stories about his adventures in "Hundred Acre Wood" with his pals Pooh Bear and Piglet. Eeyore is a grey and white DSH, UTD on vaccines, microchipped and neutered, now all he needs is the perfect family to come along and adopt him. We believe he would be fine with kids (just probably shy at first) and he doesn't seem to mind other cats, but we did find out he is scared of dogs, so he would need a home without those! Tillie girl! Tillie is a Beagle mix who is around 1-1/2 years old, and she is just the biggest lovebug! Tillie loves to run around in the yard, and likes to chase scents in typical beagle fashion. She does have a small animal prey drive, which is also typical of her breed. While living with cats may not be the best idea due to her prey drive, she does love playing with other dogs and has been good with most dogs that she has met as always meet and greets are required for potential fur siblings! Tillie does pull slightly on a leash but calms down after a few minutes and is getting better day by day. She is just so excited to get outside and explore that she pulls from the jump but does eventually relax. She loves pets and giving "hugs", is fully housebroken and is working on her basic commands.
