We are planning our next Ampa Educational Event for 2025. Our destination is Pierce, Colorado home of Chris P’s Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc. We will be visiting their amazing facility in the month of August of 2025. Help us choose the dates and plan to travel with us. These events never disappoint. It’s an amazing opportunity to weekend away with like minded individuals. We will all be learning more about our favorite topic, pigs!!

We hope this message finds you well. We have been battling with shipping and inventory costs over the last couple of years. Despite our best efforts to absorb these increases, the inevitable has become unavoidable.

As of today, July 24, 2024, we will be implementing a price increase on our mini pig food. This decision was not made lightly, and we have delayed it for as long as possible, bearing the increased costs ourselves. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

As always, we are here to help. If you have any follow-up concerns, feel free to contact us.

Did you know that male and female pigs both grow tusks?

Male and female pigs grow tusks. Males will grow longer and reach outside of the lip line. Females do not grow as long but may need rounding or dulling of the sharp tips. Males do require regular tusk trimming. This is to prevent discomfort and to protect the family. Tusks are razor sharp and can cause severe accidental injuries. Some owners will trim their pig's tusks. There are several experienced traveling trimmers who will trim tusks while doing hoof maintenance at your home. This should be a regular and routine part of your pig's care. Who does your pig's tusks?
