Ending our day with one of our favorite highlights: #FosterFriday. We'd like to tell you a little bit about our boy Duke. He is 4-5 years old. Male, 54 lbs. pounds and fully grown. Duke is in foster care with two other dogs (one adopted from SPCA Cincinnati, Bluebird). He does well with the two dogs and follows corrections from them well. The foster family has a younger child that is in love with Duke. However, Duke can be very playful and all adopters should bring the entire family to meet him. Including doggy friends he would live with! We cannot say how he is around cats at this time.
He came to SPCA Cincinnati in 08/2024 due to family moving and being unable to take him. He was adopted but then returned late January 2025 for the adopter not having enough “time” to own a dog…. He is a highly adoptable dog from our standpoint! If anyone is interested in setting up a meet n’ greet (he will be available from foster care), email [email protected] to get more details. #FosteringSavesLives
Meet #Rover – your future adventure buddy! This high-energy, playful pup is ready to RUN, PLAY, and soak up all the attention. He LOVES his ball and keeps himself busy with toys and enrichment—always up for fun! Rover seems to do well with other dogs, but his experience with kids and cats is unknown, so a meet-and-greet is recommended for families. Since he’s still learning the ropes with training and housebreaking, he needs a patient, active home to help him grow into the best boy he can be. If you're looking for a playful, adventure-loving pup to bring endless joy to your life, come meet Rover today!

What a joy she was! Macy has been adopted since the making of this video, but she left a wonderful impression on our entire staff. Macy was suffering from a slab (tooth) fracture when she arrived to the SPCA Cincinnati, as well as 15 painful sebaceous nodules. Dr. Smith explains her care plan while in our shelter. Please comment, like, and share! We thank Boehringer Ingelheim for their continued support of our medical program. #SPCACincyMedical #MedicalMonday #MedicalMondaysFebruary2025 #CincinnatiHumane
