Eden is in search of new real estate for her retirement! Eden is approx. 4.5 years old. She loves other dogs, new people and kids. She is a higher drive dog and would love to be on a farm or ideally in a home that is looking for a sport prospect dog. She is extremely fast and athletic with a stellar recall and good listening skills. She does alert bark and she has been an excellent mama to two litters of pups.

Pros: her agility makes her a great candidate for fly ball or agility work, long hikes or long distance running. She can jump a 4ft fence with ease and grace. She is also a rat and woodchuck catcher. She has been a breeze to train and work with. House trained, crate trained, kennel trained. She is used to living with other dogs and loves that. She's also very keen on water. Happy to ride in the truck and loves to be pet. Doesn't dig much. She is a true velcro dog, happy to stay put with you all day long.

Carrier for DM, clear on everything else including mdr1. Rehomed only on a spay contract.

Really bright special girl. She is driven to please, loves belly rubs, sometimes plays fetch but not excessively, loves to run and climb, she is feisty with the gophers but not obsessed. She is a lean 39lbs. She would be ideal for someone who loves to hike because it would give her the freedom she deserves in a safe setting. She is the sweetest snuggliest girl. Very good in the car. Great for the vet. Doesn't mind grooming. She has a fitted, easy care coat and has always been in perfect health.

Cons: she can jump a 4 ft fence lol. Proper fencing is must for her new property. She is a tire chaser and cannot go to a home without a secure fence and must work with someone who is familiar with e-collars for her own safety. Can get over stimulated if couped up.

Quinnipiac Born 1/13/25 UTD on shots and dewormings. Microchipped and temperament tested. From health tested parents and assessed by a veterinarian.

Quinnipaic (purple collar): Quinnipiac's planned home fell through at the last minute making her available. She is sweet and loving and a thinker. We think she would do best in a quieter home with older kids. She rides well in the car and is an easy crater. She is sweet and snuggly. She can be a little reserved but warms right up if you're on her level. Good with other dogs. Has been fine with cats so far.

We are working on basic commands and crate training. She is going on lots of outings and gaining new experiences each day but still looking for her forever family! If you're interested in discussing Quinnipiac please email us through our website at Www.lanzhollowfarm.com. or text us at 8609820673. We look forward to hearing from you!

Queets (green collar): Queets is an active girl. Not as barky as one would think for a busy bee! She is handler focused and wants to play! We would love to see Queets in a home that is very active either into hiking or biking swimming etc. She already loves tug and fetch. Older kids or a home that does sports would be ideal! We feel a home with younger kids she might get lost in the fray. Anyone looking for an agility prospect or demo dog?? Great with other dogs and good with cats so far.

Located in Connecticut

Due to unforeseen family circumstances and no fault of his own, Lemmy (Lanz Hollow Farm Japan) is needing to be rehomed.

About Lemmy:
-a 3 yo neutered OTSC male, up to date on vaccinations.
-a loving, sweet boy and a natural born athlete with so much promise in the right environment/hands
-energetic but does definitely have an off switch and can be the best cuddler once calm and settled
-quick learner and highly food motivated; has had puppy training and knows basic commands (though at times will pretend not to). additionally, he’s completed a 5-day training intensive to work on house manners. Will benefit from additional training to greet politely, settle/stay, etc.
-has liked all other collies he’s met, but otherwise dog selective
-raised around a baby/toddler and has never showed aggression toward our son. However, a home with older kids would probably be best because Lemmy is pretty excitable and can be a bit rough/clumsy when over stimulated.
-does not love cats

Birth announcement! Eden has delivered her second litter, "Q" litter by Kepper Windspun Farm Fibers & OTSC . She's doing great and is a wonderful and attentive mother. There are 7 girls and 1 boy. If you're interested in getting on the wait list you can contact us through our website:

We place on temperament testing results so that pups temperament and energy level will match the needs of the future home. It is not lost on us that most collies are rehomed for two reasons, a missmatch of energy and needs that the dog has with the lifestyle and environment of their home. The second reason is a change of life event for owners. We do our best to place the pups in the right home on the outset.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out.

Took a wonderful trip to drop a puppy off in Canada this past week, my niece and Kep tagged along for the ride and we got to check out the falls on the way back. A quick little spring vacation with great food and gorgeous views. Kep made out like a bandit getting eggs Benedict and half my soft serve. I'm very proud of him, he had a bunch of first time experiences and handled it all really well. He didn't bark once the entire trip. Here's to Kep and his most recent two ("O" & "P") litters. He got to meet lots of kids on this trip that wanted to pet "Lassie" which he gleefully accepted. I expect great things from his offspring 😊. Windspun Farm Fibers & OTSC Lanz Hollow Farm

This little girl with a red collar, litter name Ottawa out of Kepper and Oona is available. She's 8.5 weeks old, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, temperament tested etc. She is definitely a working dog temperament and needs an activity. That activity could be agility or could be working on a farm or a different sport. She is people focused and engaged. Food driven and will definitely love to play fetch. She is already climbing over a 4 foot fence.
She is sweet as the day is long. She is also genetically clear if someone is looking for a breeding prospect. Both parents have been DNA tested. Mom is EE yellow so she carries that, tricolor and sable.

She would have been placed but family was looking for a therapy quality dog so jumped to the next litter. Expect a working length coat that is low stress.

Making the rounds again is this great story recorded by Linda Rorem someone I would call a Farm Collie historian. Thanks to Linda these stories can live on and I have to say this one really got me a little misty.

This is the reason I breed.

The old fashioned farm collie was a legend in the early 1900's.

Homer Davenport wrote of the working collie Fly on the Geer farm near Silverton where he lived for some time when he was a boy (the Geers were his mother's family). In a newspaper article in 1907 he related: "I remember once when 'By' Geer and a herder were moving a band of 2500 head of sheep over onto a new range and were driving at night . . . a rain was falling that made the sheep hard to keep together. It was slow work. Fly had been very active. She was covering lots of ground, and it was quite dark. But she worked without orders. She seemed in complete control, and her sharp bark could be heard at intervals. Finally they missed her bark; an hour or so had passed without hearing it. The men were alarmed, as they knew that without her in the dark they would possibly lose a hundred sheep every mile without missing them. They shouted for her, but no Fly. She had gone. They decided that the only thing to do was to stop where they were. They got around their flock as soon as they could and got them bunched. They knew they had let some sheep drop behind and that old Fly was with them. But they thought it was strange she didn't hurry them along, as she was known all over the state as a fast worker. They waited and waited. Daylight came and no Fly. Finally about noon she came with 250 sheep. She was tired and traveling slow. One ewe had given birth to a lamb, and old Fly had gathered it by the back of the neck, as she would carry one of her pups. . . . Thus the faithful old Fly, carrying the lamb too young to walk and keep up, drove her strayed band on until they overtook the first division."
Davenport loved the old-fashioned collie. He wrote in praise of it and was critical of the development of the show-only dog. He even suggested that sheep herding contests for collies be held in conjunction with dog shows, an idea scoffed at by show dog writer James Watson in their "debate" in the Country Life in America magazine in 1908.

I wish I could reach back in time and tell my 12 year old self, dreams do come true. You did get a collie.
