This Sunday post is dedicated to my sweet Lambeau Leap 1/18/12-8/2/24 I could write an entire doggy obituary on the sweetest little man who stole my heart 12 years ago & shattered it this week. 💔🌈🐾 I’ve experience much loss in my life, but I wasn’t prepared for this. The first dog of my own after moving out, by my side all of my young adult life and all of the changes we went through together. Hug your pets, I wish I could snuggle him one last time. This little guy could sleep just about anywhere, but his favorite place to be was snuggled up to his people. I will forever miss his tippy tappy paws for breakfast and dinner. Even though he was sweet as pie, he did in fact occasionally live up to his breed, shih-(SH*T) zu…from chasing the Amish down the highway with me running behind him, losing his mind over the squirrels almost daily, to completely acting like he didn’t know his name unless HE wanted to get up from his nap, little s**t. 🥹 All he had to do was exist, any little thing he did melted my heart. Just by looking at him he would warm my heart with his sweet face, shark teeth & those big buggy eyes. I’m rambling now, but I could go on & on. Here is to the littlest loss of my life, until I see you again my sweet Lammy Boy. I hope you are sunbathing with the wind blowing through your fur my sweet little angel.

Thank you ALL staff at Country Pet Clinic especially Dr. Heather for being the absolute best.

It is with immense sadness to share the loss of Libby. This one has hit extra hard as not only was Libby a loved member of the “Pet Nanny” family, but I’ve been lucky enough to know her since her family brought her home. Libby was the sweetest little soul. I think anyone that knew her would definitely agree! She is so deeply missed already. 💔 I’ll never forget you my little Libby Lou.

To ensure the health and safety of all pets, I kindly ask that you notify me immediately if your pet shows any signs of kennel cough or related symptoms. It is imperative to not spread this as it is extremely contagious. I see many dogs on the daily, senior dogs & my very own precious pups. It is important to me personally & my business to keep everyone healthy. Unfortunately, I will be unable to accommodate pets with these symptoms until they have fully recovered. (2 weeks without symptoms) Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

KENNEL COUGH‼️❌
Same goes for my My Pets Nannyl! You must notify me if your dog was diagnosed or showing symptoms. You will have to make other arrangements and I will not be able to see them for at least two weeks.

Just a heads up that kennel cough has been going around again in the last month. If you are concerned about your dog picking it up, we suggest they stay out of daycare (and away from dog parks and other canine-heavy gatherings) for a bit. If your dog has been here and became symptomatic, please report it to us! This helps us keep track of the level of severity. We do require symptomatic dogs to stay out of daycare a MINIMUM of two weeks after they are cleared of coughing. Stay safe! 🫶🏻

Let's talk about this photo. It's cute, except it's not. I see a dog who cannot get up without telling the child to get off. How do you think a dog is going to do that?

The 7 Golden Toddler Dog Rules:
#1: If a dog walks away from you, you DO NOT FOLLOW.
#2: Always leave room for the dog to walk away from you.
---that right there is 90+% of dog bites eliminated---
#3: We do not climb on the dog.
#4: We do not grab or pull on the dog.
#5: We do not hit or throw anything at the dog.
#6: We do not touch the dog's food.
#7: We do not go into the dog's kennel.

I promise these are not overly difficult concepts for littles, nor will they rob a kid of their bond with the family dog. It will deepen that bond, while keeping everyone safe.

"Oh, it looks like Moose is walking away from you. She is saying she wants a break. Let's play with this instead!"

"It's Moose's dinner time! Let's give her space to enjoy her yummies."

"That is Moose's room(kennel) and only she is allowed to go in there."

"If Moose wanted a break, could she walk away from you right now? No she really couldn't. Let's move away from the play house. You can keep playing but now she can leave when she wants a break."

In conclusion, ***parent your child or your dog will do it for you, and you will not like how they do it.***
