Had a few furry friends stop by last week to ease back into work.

I’m back!!! I am back from carpal tunnel surgery and doing great. I am still a little slower than before and my hand gets tired so please be patient if I’m a little longer with your pup than normal. I will be back to normal speed soon.

📆. I am currently booking into May. Please keep in mind that I am typically booked out 2-3 months in advance, so make sure you book your next appointment at pick up to ensure you get on the books. I can always set your up on a re-occurring schedule and set you up for a year or more if that helps.

🚜. 58 is OPEN again, but there is a light where the road is one lane, so please know there could be some extra travel time to and from the Gouverneur area.

🐾. And as always… THANK YOU for your support of my dream and business. I wouldn’t be here today without all of you. I look forward to seeing everyone and get all the puppy snuggles!!

4 days post-op with my Carpal Tunnel Release and feeling great!! Lots of lifting and movement restrictions as I heal but truly have no pain! I am so grateful for the surgery and can’t wait to get back in the salon! Have to take it slow and still looking to be back in March, the hand fatigue is real right now. How are my furry friends spending the day during this snow storm?? Mavis is loving that I am home and getting all the cuddles she can, even if they are shared with her human sister. 😊

🚨 Updates!! 🚨

🚜 Road closure: Rt 58 will be closed Wednesday January 7th at 8pm… that means there will be a detour for anyone coming from Fowler and Gouverneur area. (Look ahead to see what route is best for you) I don’t know how long the road is due to be closed, but please plan extra time for travel.

🩺 Surgery recovery: I will be out of the salon from January 21st-March 3rd. I will be in touch with anyone who has an appointment during that time. Please know that the schedule is very full and I will be slower than normal when I come back.
✂️ If you need a groomer in the mean time, I have been in contact with a groomer in Gouverneur that will do her best to work you into her schedule to help me out. We are in very close contact and can and will give any grooming notes to her if you let her know you came from me. I can also write down any notes for you to take along to any groomer you might choose.

🐩 I am currently booking into April for normal appointments. Remember that the best way to ensure a date and time that is best for you is to schedule ahead. I can book multiple appointments ahead if you want. I will be slowing down a little this year to ensure my hand heals properly, so I don’t put too much stress on my already aching back and to spend some much needed and wanted time with my kids and husband.

🚨Scheduling Update:🚨
🐾I am currently booking into October!!
🐾Now is the time to get your holiday appointment scheduled, the months of November and December book up very fast.
🐾I am not able to take any new clients right now. (a new client would be anyone who hasn’t been seen in the last two calendar years) I will be having carpal tunnel surgery after the holidays and want to make sure I can get everyone in that I can before I will be out. Once I get the date for surgery, I will be in touch with those on the schedule. I will be out for 6 weeks after surgery and will be coming back carefully. Once I have more information on dates, I will be in touch and let everyone know.
🐾Remember, the best way to get a time and day that works best for you is to book ahead. I am able to book out for the whole year and will be doing those appointments for 2026 once I have a return date from surgery
🐾Please know that the best way to get in touch with me is to call during business hours. Messaging is very unpredictable and doesn’t always come through or alert me. Remember that I can only do so much in one day, and have been working extra days and hours to make sure all the pups in our area are clean, safe and happy.

Happy 4th of July!

November was a busy month. I completed
3 certifications and attended 8 other grooming courses to further my education and skills in the ever changing industry of dog grooming. Pet safety is always first but learning new techniques and styles is always fun too. 😊
