Hello!

I wanted to make this post as a reminder for clients moving forward.

The downpayment for a trip is non-refundable unless there is an emergency or if I have to cancel. The downpayment saves your petsitting booking spot and ensures that I get some sort of income if you cancel. It goes towards your total for your trip. If you dont pay the downpayment, your spot is not booked and I cannot save spots. I do expect the downpayment at the time of booking. I will as a courtesy remind you that it is needed but I cannot and will not chase people down. If you dont pay the downpayment in a timely manner, your trip may be given to another client who does. I will as a courtesy let you know before hand if you still want the spot before I give it to another client who would like it and pays the downpayment.

Also, please do not ask for the downpayment back if you cancel your trip even if it's months ahead. I book months in advanced as well and I have clients who I have to turn down for your spot (yes, even if your trip is 6 months away).

Also, if you book a trip and have to cancel it, the downpayment for the cancelled trip cannot be used for another trip. Again, I turned down other clients for that spot and so I need to get paid something for that spot.

99% of my clients are great and I absolutely enjoy petsitting but I do need to make money and I miss out on holidays and other events in my life for your vacations and your pets. Please do not take advantage and be considerate.

UPDATE: I'm getting alot of inquiries for petsitting from old and new clients for this upcoming year so thank you!!! Just a reminder that spots fill up quickly.

Also, I wanted to let everyone know that I will no longer have a flat fee of $40 a day for petsitting as things are expensive now. If you have one pet, its still $40, but each additional pet will have to be a $5 increase. If we already have a petsitting date booked, I will be reaching out to you about pricing changes for your individual trip and situation.

Looking to 2025, I will also be increasing the price for holiday petsitting and if individuals want me to do tasks that are not petsitting related such as taking out garbage, mail, watering plants, etc, a charge will need to be discussed. Thank you!
