Maverick is wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th of July! Remember to keep your pets inside or securely on leash if they have noise sensitivity and we always recommend a microchip in case they get out.

Update: He has been adopted! Congrats Courtney

Miko is a fun loving dog a bit shy and very curious around other animals when he gets comfortable he jumps around and wants to play. Plays with our cats, She let's him know if he is to rough. Miko Loves new people but very cautious at first if they give him treats it speeds up that process Miko loves the surprise of a new toy or chew He sometimes likes to throw it around the room and then jump on it before chewing on it. He is protective around food he will growl if you get close He will sit and wait to be told he can eat Miko does not bark very much only when somebody he doesn’t know shows up or hears a strange noise. Miko loves to cuddle and have his chest and tummy rubbed if you stop he yawns vocally so you would continue sooo cute. He knows some tricks...
Sit, settle, lay down, leave it, no, stay, shake, paws, high five, roll over, heal, get back here, drop it, get your toy, get your (name of toy) get in your crate.
*He is being rehomed because he has began to herd the current owners children and they don’t have the resources for training.

Update: she found a home! Thanks everyone for reaching out

Nya is looking for a home! She is from our latest Bri x Cruise litter born April 9th. Her adoptive mom picked her early from the litter but since getting her home has discovered that the city life isn’t for this pup. She is seeking an active home with border collie knowledge and the know how to deal with normal puppyhood. Reduced adoption fee to someone looking for SAR or sports

A great new study just out on the best age to spay and neuter your dog based on science! No earlier than 12 months for border collies which goes with what we educate our puppy parents

Spaying female and castrating male dogs, hereinafter referred to as neutering, is a US convention for the first year in the dog's life. Research on 35 breeds of dogs revealed that early neutering increases risks of joint disorders, such as hip dysplasia (HD), elbow dysplasia (ED), or cranial cruciat...

Update: he found a home!! Thanks everyone who reached out. He is going to a home that has this same cross from Bri’s last litter 3 years ago! ❤️❤️

I was hoping to get this guy a home at the same time his brothers and sisters were leaving but it seems the black dog curse strikes again! Everyone wants that classic black and white and the more black a pup has the less people want them. It’s so sad but I have found it true over the years. It’s not his fault!
This puppy is super love, calm and thoughtful, enjoys cuddles and chewing on toys. He would be a great adventure partner or chore dog but I don’t believe he would do well for high competition events. I’m offering a discount for any service members, first responders or if someone wants a a medical alert, therapy dog. Send us a PM

Update on Star: It turns out she had what’s called Water Intoxication. A condition that occurs from drinking too much water, upsetting electrolyte balances.
Drinking too much water can decrease sodium in the blood to dangerously low levels, causing life-threatening problems.
Ataxia, nausea, and vomiting are symptoms. Severe cases can cause seizures, coma, and death.
As the weather warms up this is a great reminder how important it is to monitor your dogs around bodies of water and make sure they aren’t drinking to much especially when playing fetch in water.
Star has thankfully made a full recovery and although thousands of dollars were spent in vet bills, her parents are very happy she pulled through!

We still have a lovely boy available! He is so sweet and adventurous from Bri x Cruise which is a proven cross

About RVF Border Collies

Our primary goal is to breed the healthiest and conformationally correct border collies we can. With that in mind we do selective breedings, on limited basis usually twice yearly. In our dedication to keeping the breed as healthy as possible we have all our border collies DNA screened through Optigen and PawPrint Genetics for CEA (Collie Eye Anomaly), TNS (trapped neutrophil syndrome), IGS (Imerslund-Gräsbeck syndrome) and MDR1 (Ivermectin sensitivity). All our dogs over the age of two years are screened through OFA for hip and elbow abnormalities as well. Our pups are sold with a health guarantee and provision that the dog be returned to us if for any reason the buyer cannot keep it.

We want each of our border collies to live out their lives as valued family members so we do the best we can to place them according to the new owners personality and the dogs work desires. Many of our dogs go on to be very successful in herding, agility, and trick training but titles are not as important as health and longevity are to us.

If you have any questions please feel free to send an email or give me a call. Im happy to answer any questions you might have about our dogs or future breedings.
