Odin is injured and out of commission for a few months, so Caddy filled in for him the past two weeks. She was a little less eager this week then last week (I think the weather), but she still did okay considering she missed the first five weeks of classes! I guess you can teach old dogs new tricks. I guess Caddy will get to be a rally dog and trick dog too. This was the last week of class.

Anyone looking for a runner?
Anyone looking for a runner? Three month old sorrel colt with two high whites in the rear and as Bon Temps bred as it gets. Hes a fancy fancy mover when hes not running too.
His dam is 24 years old, so there won't be another bred like him. If you want old school longevity with plenty of run and spirit, this one will be your boy. PM me for info on him.
Echo, Caddy, Turbo
Echo, Caddy, and Turbo. Just hanging out in the yard.
Getting big. We're very excited to see this foal, but it may be her only one for a while. After she foals, she's going on barrels as soon as I'm able to send her to the trainer.
Stalls don't clean themselves
Judge says, "Get to work breeder lady, stalls don't clean themselves!"

Because I posted the variety in forage article, I'm sharing our variety pasture. We have an area of bahia, one of Bermuda, 6 wooded acres, and then we have this. This pasture has been disced for winter grass now, but less than a month ago, it looked like this. On the surface, most would think this was an untended overgrown weed pasture. It's not. It's Bermuda, plus our variety vegetables. In here we've planted: peas, carrots, cucumbers, watermelons, sunflowers, and pretty much anything else that's horse safe. What you see judge eating is cucumbers. When our horses are turned out, they spend as much time in here eating as up on the Bermuda or the bahia. They evolved to eat a variety of plants, so we try to let them live as naturally as possible.
Mares coming up. Almost time that we can plant fall rye in the back, which grows fabulously in this nice shady area.
