ZDM’s mission is to provide affordable training for dogs, AND OWNERS. I believe it is very important that pet parents understand the “why”. Why is my dog behaving like this? Why does this training technique yield results? To provide the best care for your pooch you need to know the layman’s version of why your dog behaves the way it does, that’s what I am here for. As a new trainer on the scene, I

Hank and Sadie practicing leave it. Hank added his own flair.. He was really trying to focus and kept lifting his leg up! It's kind of like when a human sticks their tongue out to really concentrate. Silly doggo!

Lorenzo and I were doing a little recall work this morning. He is doing great! There are always deer in the back of our yard.. Lorenzo thinks that they leave special treats for him. 😝 In the first recall i say “here” and he stops his search for frozen deer “raisins” and high tails it to his momma. Getting your dog to leave something he thinks is interesting to come to you is an amazing milestone. What a good boy! Check out New Beginnings K-9 Rescue to find more incredible dogs just like him!

Tonight was week five of Level 1 Obedience class. Next week Bree and Amanda will see if all of their hard work paid off enough to successfully complete Level 1!!! Will Remy and Frankie pass??
