VERY LIMITED SUPPLY of pasture raised turkeys! These birds have been given an area of fresh grass daily to forage on along with their locally sourced grain manufactured right here in MA! It doesn’t get more local than that folks!
They are expected to be between 18 and 25 pounds. $5 per pound

The turkeys went out on pasture for the first time today- where they will stay through the summer. The “turkey tractor” will be moved to a new spot every 2-3 days, offering fresh grass and bugs for the turkeys to eat with protection from aerial predators. Dolly the donkey is also on patrol to keep predators at bay.

What’s new at Overpass Farm?
Hair sheep! Meet our new flock of Katahdin sheep! Katahdins were developed in Maine (named after the highest peak in the state) and are noted for their hardiness, resistance to parasites and mother-ability. Katahdins shed their winter coat, so they do not have to be sheared. The Katahdin's hair comes in a variety of colors, as the emphasis of the breed is on production rather than appearance. You may also notice that they have long tails! Because they do not grow a thick fleece, the risk of fly strike is greatly reduced, eliminating the need to dock lamb tails. We are excited to have these girls on our pasture and are looking forward to babies next spring! 🐑🌾
