Put eggs in lock down this afternoon and had a little guy pipping already! He is now out and looks like a little Gray J*panese (I am hoping!). Also have mottled J*p eggs and cochin bantams in there. Have a great weekend folks!

Incubator is full....now to wait for a very long 19 days to see what colors pop out of those tiny little eggs :) I have barred cochin, black cochin, splash cochin, grey japanese. Hoping for a good hatch! Keep cool folks and have a blessed day

Good Morning Peeps! It's taken me a while, but I think things are coming together FINALLY! Cochins are laying and hatching well. Got some chocolates in this summer along with a barred and splash. Also, along with the Grey J*panese I have gotten a young blue roo, a pair of BTW, a Black Pullet and access to a trio of BTB.....next year is looking good for a quality flock. Good Morning Peeps! My little Cochin girls got the job done!! They hatched 12 little chicks this past weekend :) I have 3 under a light as they had a difficult time getting out of the eggs, but all in all everyone is healthy! Not a bad hatch rate....15 eggs - 12 chicks :) I so enjoy watching Mama Hens raise their young....Have a blessed day Folks.

Good Morning Peeps! It's been a rainy week, but we are getting through it. The J*panese didn't do well this year :( The little Cochin ladies are sharing nest duty at the moment, so hopefully they will hatch us some chicks in the next 2 weeks :) Their eggs have produced some nice chicks for my daughter, so I'm fairly sure we'll get some sweet ones.
