We’re excited to share with you that we have broken ground on the new cow barn that is being built in the pasture. The first step requires a lot of dirt to be moved to create a solid foundation. We are grateful for the donations that have allowed us to get this far. With donations and the upcoming fundraisers we hope to have the barn completed this fall. Thank you everyone!

Our beautiful sweet Stormy was put down today surrounded by his loving caregivers. We are heartbroken and grateful for the years we had his gracious and magnificent self in our lives.

Stormy is still struggling with an infection and continues his twice daily antibiotic routine and getting his leg wrapped. The vet came last week and tested his kidney values, also. They haven't gotten worse since the last test a month or so ago, so we are grateful for every day that we get to have this sweet, handsome boy with us. The farrier came today and he got his hooves trimmed up nicely. The vet will come again next week to run tests and with great hope he will beat down this infection. We love our beautiful Stormy so much.

A few of the 90+ kindergarteners on a field trip to the Farm today. Each class had a hand-print animal on their t-shirts of horses, pigs, and sheep. So adorable! 🥰

Today (4/27) is our big Plant Sale! Come on over between 11-3pm to get your summer vegetables, herbs, native plants, succulents, and more. All the plants are created by the students as part of their plant science lessons and proceeds go back into supporting student education. 💕

We have lost someone so special and giving to the Farm. We are saddened by the passing of Rich Freedman. Such wonderful memories come to mind when we think of Rich - giving, funny, and creative. Rich made many things possible for our non-profit; money through his fundraising efforts, a greater awareness brought about through numerous articles, and signage. We have two lovely signs directing folks to us-thought of and installed through his efforts. We love 💕 you and will miss you. Thank you for all the good you’ve done and shared. RIP.

Here’s Keebler and Oreo demonstrating a fun fact about cows, which is that cows form close friendships with other cows. They lick each other to reinforce their friendship and make each other feel relaxed. ❤️

The students had so much fun planting the new Fuyu Persimmon and Kumquat trees in the Food Forest Garden. Thank you to Sustainable Solano for donating these beautiful trees that came from MidCity Nursery.

What a great day we had this past Friday! A group of PG&E employees volunteered and did an amazing job making the Farm look more beautiful. At the same time, we had the 2024 Vallejo Leadership Group come on a tour. What a great show of community spirit during our 50th anniversary year! ❤️
