The page, Agnes the Duck, will be closing soon. My family is visiting for Thanksgiving. I want to share her story with them while they are here and then I will be closing her page. It's fun to scroll through and see her posts and watch her story while she lived here from beginning to end. Enjoy. Thank you all for being her friends.

Who knew one little girl duck could change a life. Agnes passed quietly in her sleep last night, much to my sadness, after a wonderful glorious last day together. We cleaned her pools, hunted for worms like we did every morning. She spent the day wandering her yard rooting for bugs, popping in and out of the bird room, begging for corn (her new favorite food), took her regular bath and soaked up the sunshine. She came to me for her daily or several a day, snuggle hug. A perfect last day. I will miss her forever, be mindful of her teachings, keep her portrait that means the world to me forever on my phone. I want to thank her many friends and people who were so understanding of duck p**p on our porches being, just a part of our life. I want to thank Kate Lane for her professional portrait day, which meant the world to me. I want to thank Penny and Polly for the many McDonald's sundaes they endured just to save crushed peanuts for Agnes. I want to thank Bonnie and Tamara for the special love they always send Aggie. And a special thank you to Dr. Daniel Burke, her loving veterinarian friend. And how could I forget her pet sitters! Chris, Paige, and Kent who loved on her when I was gone!
Life won't be the same for me without this amazing creature who flew into the yard one day and decided to stay. The little duck whose best friend was a chihuahua. The little duck who chased any other dogs in the yard that weren't hers. The little duck who loved people more than her own kind. I will always miss you sweet girl, I didn't even mind the p**p that much.♡
