A good friend and mentor of mine Scott Phillips taxidermy shop caught on fire and he lost everything years of work, supplies, customers animals everything. He’s always been one to help me out when I needed help and he has taught me everything I know about taxidermy. We are going to do a raffle to try and help Scott rebuild his shop. All the proceeds will be going to him and his wife Ronda. Last night, a devastating fire destroyed a good friend of mine Scott Phillips' taxidermy business, taking years of hard work, valuable equipment, and thousands of dollars in operating funds. This business has been Scott's livelihood for 17 years, and now he's left to rebuild from nothing.

Tomorrow 11/28 Our Van Buren drop off location will be CLOSED… if you have a trophy and have absolutely no way to keep it cool then give me a call and we can try to work something out otherwise please stick them in the freezer or throw em in a ice chest. Oklahoma location is still going to be open look forward to seeing you guys!

Taxidermy tip: letting your hide get to hot or letting it sit in the cooler for longer than 3 days may cause slippage in the hair due to bacteria buildup on the skin that breaks down the epidermis . I will not know this until after I have tanned your hide .

Even if you are very careful skinning a squirrel out (or any small animal) sometimes even in the tan the tail will rip right off or in half like this guys did ... easy fix to sew it right back on .

Bath time! This is a real pretty coyote we get to start working on this week .
