Whistl n' Rat Terriers

� ATTENTION �
We have had some issues with people leaving their new fur baby with us for extended amounts of time after they are ready to go. We are very easy to work with here at Whistln’ Rat Terriers and we urge you to communicate any issues that may arise with picking up your new puppy. It is bittersweet to see them go, but we love for ou
r new families to pick them up so you can begin making memories with their new furry family member. To encourage timely pick up we are going to implement some new rules.
-You will have a 10 day window after your puppy is of age, to pick up him or her
-Starting on the 11th day a $50 holding fee will be applied daily (this fee is on top of the remainder of price owed and will be paid before taking pup home)
Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. We cannot stress enough that communication is key! We have purebred, true to the breed, PLL Clear, PRA/PRCD clear, UKC Registered Rat Terriers. All of our puppies are UKC puppy paper registered, PLL clear by parentage, PRA/PRCD clear by parentage and all pups have their tails docked and dew claws removed within days of being born. We have a 2 year genetic health guarantee and also send our families that have a pup reserved, weekly updates of pictures, videos and weights to see how their baby is growing, while waiting to bring them home. They come home with a small supply of current puppy food a fresh bath, and Frontline treatment. Pups are on a strict worming regimen from birth right up until leaving us and they leave us only after receiving their SECOND 5-way parvovirus vaccination. The 5 way shot that they receive helps build immunity to/and prevents Canine Distemper, Adenovirus Type 1 (Hepatitis), Adenovirus Type 2 (Respiratory Disease), Parainfluenza & Parvovirus. Your pup WILL have the best start to a healthy life, but should be followed up with vet recommendations. Your pup will not be fully protected until a couple of weeks after receiving their 3rd shot… so careful consideration of potty spots must be observed until then. Scarlett, Wicked, Rocke and Whistl n’ come to us from dedicated breeders that have over 40 years of experience of breeding show dog quality rat terriers! Rat terriers are full of energy, will keep your yard rodent, bug and spider free (or atleast ours do!) They are very intelligent dogs and very easily trained (but can be a bit stubborn at times!) and are AWESOME watchdogs. They are great companion animals and GREAT with kids! Pups will be ready to go home when they are 8 1/2+ weeks old. They have age appropriate parvovirus vaccinations up to date and are also worming is up to date when leaving us. (All info is provided in papers on take home day)
A $300 deposit reserves pup of your choice until they are at age to go home, with remaining due at time of pickup. Ms. Winnie is due next week, she is a beautiful Blue Bi and has the BEST temperament, she is definitely a little Velcro dog! ❤️
Dad is a very handsome UKC CH Showdog and is a Tri Piebald.
All of our pups are family raised and well cared for. All of our rat terriers are PLL Clear PRA/PRCD Clear, all of our pups are clear by parentage.
Pups also come with their UKC puppy papers. They leave us after getting their SECOND parvo vaccination, very well wormed, and come with a 2 year genetic health guarantee.
I send weekly pics and videos right up to, as well as on take home day to see their beautiful transformation from reservation day until they head home at about 8 1/2-9 weeks old.

Take home day for this extremely handsome boy! We are sad to see him go, but know that he will be very loved, we had an extra few weeks of loving on him due to a pre planned vacation and him being a birthday surprise as well! He will be 12 weeks old tomorrow ❤️

This is an exceptional pup! He is available and will be ready to go to his new family next Friday, May 17, after he receives his second parvo vaccination.

Yes! It was a busy weekend! Cricket and Remi went home Friday, and Izzy, CoCi and Bus went home Saturday, to their new families!

Pups were 7 weeks old yesterday, doing fantastic, making plans for these beauties to start the journey to their new homes starting Nov 3 already! Man the time flies! Excited to meet their new families 🙂

On take home day, we always meet at a public place with pups, papers & food. We do this to maintain the health and safety of our current and future unvaccinated pups that we may have, as well as to maintain privacy of our family.
We have a couple "common" places both north and south of us off of I-69 that we have met past families at and generally it will save on your trip time for your ride home.
If you do decide that a Whistln' pup is for you, we do require pickup in a timely matter. We feel that ideally pups should be to new homes by 10 1/2 weeks of age, between 8 1/2-9 weeks is normally when they go home, Nov 3 is when these babies can go home.
We do understand "things happen" ... and we can be flexible (sorry if we sound harsh, however this is one of those things of "someone ruined it for everyone" situations...) communication will be key, and we usually have plans set of a more firm day and time by pups age of 6-7 weeks old.
We are here to answer any questions that you may have at anytime 🙂 And once again thanks for your interest in our awesome Whistl n' Rat Terriers! Feel free to send us a message anytime!
