As breeders and owners of black German Shorthairs, we are celebrating this decision for the color black to be included as an acceptable color in the breed standard. Something that that the German system has recognized since the early days of the breed.

BREAKING NEWS!

By super majority decision, the color black has been voted to be included as an acceptable color in the breed standard. Starting January 1, 2023, the color black will be allowed to show in conformation.

Also, in the same ballot, the Constitution and By Laws changes were approved. That change will allow us to ballot via email. Stay tuned for updates on how we implement that! We need to do some research.
