The marten litters are opening their eyes! I'm so excited.
I'll likely cull down litters next go around to less than I originally planned for. They're not as big as I'd hoped but with 2 first time mothers, they're doing pretty well!
(Also, some siamese siblings 🥹❤️)

So, got some big news for the rodentry - we're relocating!

We're taking off to the midwest. Specifically Ohio City (the village not Cleveland) Ohio.
Our projected move date is the 13th of October provided that all goes as planned.

For anyone that was planning on picking up babies, I will *not* be able to deliver, but I can meet within reason from Manchester NH, and you guys will have until approximately the 10th to scoop up your new kiddos.
I don't have a ton available as I've drastically cut down on breeding to make the move more tolerable for all the rodents, but if you have something you're interested in, reach out and we can make something work!

I currently have more male mice available than females, I have two Chinese dwarf hamsters available, both female, one normal and one pied.
I have a handful of 8 week old gerbils ready, both sexes, and I'm not sure my rats will be weaned in time but in a specific case if someone was looking for something we could figure it out!

If not, I'll be updating you all on our adventures, and we'll see ya on the other side!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Let's talk about vitiligo!
I've had lines with it in the past, and I personally find it beautiful. This particular little buck is a poor extreme black that developed this seemingly overnight. I have another buck in the same little who developed a little band on his tail!

As far as I'm aware, vitiligo in mice isn't harmful, though I'm going to keep a close eye out for illness (it is an autoimmune disease in humans) and whether or not it pops up on my other lines.

This buck is about 7 weeks old, and this could be the only spots he gets, OR he could end up completely whiteing out.

I am still, after all these years, so fascinated by these little creatures and deeply enjoy learning about their genetics and find these types of surprises absolutely the coolest thing. ❤️

So it's been brought to my attention that there is a buyer who might not be being totally honest with their intentions.

The account they are going by is Sienna Wolf.

I've also heard they're a child, not even 13 years old, but they use their mothers Facebook account, so I'm not sure who I was talking to today. This in and of itself is a little concerning, but that's less concerning than the conversation we had.

They reached out to me to buy 3 female mice today, and having seen their posts in other groups, I asked if they had other mice and if they were planning on using my girls as pets or breeders.

They lied and said they have only had females in the past, and my mice were only pets.

Unless the male they posted yesterday in a mutual group we are in together died overnight, that is a lie.
I don't take well to lying, and if I ask you if MY animals are meant for pets or breeding, it's so I can ensure you have HEALTHY LINES, are knowledgeable about breeding, are gonna house them properly, etc.

My NAME is behind my mice. My work, other people's names who I've gotten mice from, my time, my rodentry.

If you reach out to me with the intent to breed: DONT. LIE.
Pet only and breeder rodents have different meanings over here, and I don't play games.

Local breeders take note ⚠️
I'd hate for your animals to end up in the wrong hands.
Whether there is malicious intent or not isn't a question, I'm sure there isn't, however please be aware that there is a possibility you are talking to a very young kid if they reach out.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Just a friendly reminder:
I have a very strict 18+ policy. Some of my favorite customers have been younger kids and teens wanting their first pets, but I've ALWAYS gotten informed consent of parents, spoken TO their parents, and made totally sure that everyone is completely and totally on board with a new family member or 3.

If you are under the age of 18+ and inquiring about mice, rats, gerbils, soft furs, hamsters etc, I will not sell to you unless you are completely self sufficient in your own place, well researched, etc OR unless I have explicit consent from your parents.
There are always possible legal complications surrounding me speaking to minors about selling living animals without consent, and frankly, even Petco and Petsmart ID everyone who looks under 18 or close to it.

Please keep this in mind.

My very sweet xblack based siamese buck was paired back to momma, and his black tan sister, and boom... black merle, chocolate roan, and satin siamese (and some possible siamese roan) babies!

Also the gerbils are getting big.
I'm thinking we have nutmeg, broken nutmeg, color point nutmeg, black, and burmese just from ONE litter!
The other two I can't quite figure out. Maybe pink eyed white and burmese, but we'll see!

I'd love to introduce my most exciting (in my opinion) litters in my entire rodentry.

These are two litters from my black self female gerbil, and my nutmeg female gerbil!
Dad is either my burmese, or my color point nutmeg!
I am absolutely OBSESSED with gerbils. Prior to breeding them, I've never kept them before, but always had a fondness for them.
They're so adventurous, they NEVER stop digging, burrowing, and exploring, and so far they are absolutely incredible parents!

I'm very much looking forward to being able to share quality gerbils with you all as well this coming year ❤️

The mother is a lilac tan, father is an agouti frizzle.
