At The Crazy A Ranch, we believe everybody deserves the chance to enjoy the world from horseback, whether that means during competition, leisure, or both!

Our Path to Success includes four key points

These 4 topics are the foundation of our journey here at The Crazy A Ranch.

🦺 Safety: Riding is a dangerous sport, but that’s what makes it fulfilling. There is something special & delicate about the trust between horse and rider.
🦺 Our team of experts will focus on teaching you how to prevent accidents before they happen & get the most out of your ride, safely.
🦺 We provide helmets for our students as well as all the proper tack for what type of riding you are doing.
🦺 We teach our students from the ground up, from catching and grooming their horse, to proper saddling techniques & reading & understanding their horses behavior, all of the above is essential to having the knowledge to set you up for the safest ride possible.

🫂 Horsemanship: At its most basic level, horsemanship refers to any interaction between a human and a horse. However, it is truly an art, true horsemanship encapsulates all that is possible between a horse and a handler when they establish a collaborative partnership.
🫂 This partnership is a complex relationship. It is multifaceted, as rich and rewarding as it is challenging and complicated. But if approached with loyalty & dedication it is one of the most rewarding relationships one can ever experience.
🫂 Horsemanship boils down to the relationship between rider and horse. Understanding their needs will help them understand yours. Our job as your teacher is to help you build a solid and stable relationship with your horse!

💪🏼 Dedication: Dedication is a key point in anything you do in life, whether your dedicated to a healthier lifestyle, or dedicated to achieving something in your career, these things take time and focus.
💪🏼 Riding will also require dedication, time, focus, and quite a bit of TRY. As long as we see you trying to better yourselves in your riding or horsemanship skills we will always do the absolute most that we can to help you achieve your goals!
💪🏼 We can promise, becoming an experienced rider won't be easy, it will take lots of focus, dedication & resilience however if you stay focused on you goals you will succeed!
💪🏼 Your mindset can be your greatest asset, or your worst enemy. At The Crazy A Ranch our focus is YOU, whatever your goals are, those are our goals too! A strong mindset doesn’t only make you a better partner to your horse—it helps you approach challenges in life with the same confidence and determination.

💕 A love for the Horse: Above all the the horses needs come first. We have roughly 30 horses who live at The Crazy A Ranch. These animals are a part of our family & their needs will always be our top priorities. After all, the love of the horse is what strikes a flame in every person's soul who falls in love with the sport of horseback riding, barrel racing, & rodeo.

Shes out of a Peptoboonsmal/High Brow Cat mare by a Driftwood/Hancock stud. Shes bred to be a winner unfortunately no papers -

She currently stands 12.2/12.3 and is growing rapidly - She should mature 14.3 + hands tall.

She will come with her halter & leadrope & blanket!

What an amazing moment shared between friends this evening ❤️

Alley Stough won the 11-13 CTR Champion Saddle for the 2024 season, however Meredith McClelen was a close 2nd. Meredith has worked hard this year, she's showed up to every practice, in the heat, and the cold, in the mud or on days when she didn't feel well. Even with all the hard work & dedication Meredith still landed 2nd at the end of the year, but Alley recognized all Mere's hard work and rewarded her by GIFTING Meredith the saddle certificate for a custom made Corriente Saddle.

Of course there were tears shed, it was a beautiful, freezing cold, fun filled evening practice. We couldn't be more proud of both these young ladies! We can't wait to see what the 2025 season brings!

What an eventful day! Got all the blankets out, hay rings filled, water troughs prepped, got everyone blankets fitted, had a quick photo shoot with Cheyanne (26) & Amigo (19) while filling their free choice alfalfa. Then we headed over to Maga Farms & helped put up a shelter for their horses (i think there was more laughter than work being done) finished off with getting Kitten (GVHS IdaLynn's Fancy Kitty) her first blanket ever!

Now we're calling it a night before the cold snap tomorrow! Finally preparations will be done tomorrow!

Beyond proud of these 2 girls of ours!

We just can't believe how much both of them have progressed over the past months! They have both been working hard on paths of their own & all that hard work paid off tonight! 👏

PS - Alley didn't get us a picture, but she won a buckle for 1st in the youth 1D & she also won some $$ in the open!
