VEGGIE OF THE MONTH.......
SUNGOLD TOMATOES

SunGold are super delicious and great producers!! They produce small orange cherry tomatoes, generally weighing between 15-18 grams each. Sungold produces fruit very early in the growing season and continues to produce tomatoes until frost in autumn.

VEGGIE OF THE MONTH - Purple Tomatillo

Purple Tomatillo -also known as Mexican husk tomato is in the nightshade family along with tomatoes and peppers. Some people think that these are a type of tomato, but in fact they are completely different fruits. These tasty fruits can be eaten raw or cooked and add flavor and color to lots of Mexican dishes.

VEGGIE OF THE MONTH - Tromboncino Squash

We got turned-on to these squash by some friends a few years ago and we LOVE growing them!

Tromboncino is fun because it can be grown as a summer squash or a winter squash. Harvest during the summer for a tender green squash or allow it to grow to maturity for a butter-nutty taste.
These fruits can grow over three feet in length and just look so cool in the garden!

VEGGIE OF THE MONTH - Oregon Snow Pea

We LOVE growing these yummy peas in our garden each year. Plant in the early spring. Easy to grow. They are delicious in salads or right off the vine for a quick snack.
Peas are part of the legume family along with chickpeas and peanuts. They great for regenerating your garden as they fix nitrogen into the soil, so try planting tomatoes or other heavy feeders after a pea crop to give them a little nitrogen boost.🌿

Alllllllltrriiigghhhttttyyyyy thennnnnn! BLUEBERRIES !!! Trying to get a hard count for some awesome blueberry bushes. Who wants some 12 year old blueberry bushes? $45 if you pick up from us or $54 if we deliver to you. Liz and I are going to put in an order from our friend to dig them up. So if ya want some let us know by the end of next week so we can put in the order. We want to have them ready by the 25th if possible or sooner. There still is time before you have to put them in the ground so you can prepare your spot. But it’s coming up quick. Annndddde goooooo

VEGGIE OF THE MONTH - Large American Leeks
These plants are a joy to watch grow to size throughout the year. Plant in the spring as mini leeks and by the end of summer you'll have leeks as long as your arm. The Large American Leek (Allium porrum var. ampeloprasum), is in the onion family, but has a sweeter, milder flavor than onions. Potato and leek soup is a must for any fall season dish.

VEGGIE OF THE MONTH - CILANTRO
Cilantro, the edible leaves of Coriandrum sativum, is a super fun herb for the garden. Fresh cilantro is a great addition to salsas, etc. with its lemony/slight peppery flavor. But some people think it tastes "soapy" due to the aldehyde chemical in the leaves.
Cilantro can grow back each year when left to seed. Harvest the dried seeds and you'll have plenty of coriander to spice up your dishes all year long.
A beautiful plant that won't disappoint.
