Valentine's Day isn't so sweet for pets when chocolates or sugar-free candies are involved. 🍫 While many of us love receiving it, chocolate is toxic to many types of pets, including cats, dogs, birds, and rabbits. But chocolate isn't the only Valentine's treat you need to keep to yourself. Xylitol, a sweetener found in many sugar-free candies, can be especially harmful to dogs, causing seizures, liver failure, and other serious health complications. This year, celebrate love by keeping those sweet treats out of your furry friend's reach!

We are saddened to hear the news of one of our local colleagues.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Tidewater Equine Clinic's founder, Dr. Gary Doxtater. We are deeply saddened by the loss. He was a valued member of our team, and a great friend and mentor. He will be greatly missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.
