What's that old adage? "Proper preparation prevents poor performance"? Also "the best offense is a good defense."

Getting good performances, injury prevention, and having happy willing horses starts at home with holistic whole body health like the chiropractic care that Solas Equine Veterinary, Inc PS so expertly provides(along with their dentals and anything else Veterinary related they may need)🥰 and it only starts there! They get regular PEMF sessions(which they love) from Lexi Bohlmann, and fresh balanced pedicures every 6 weeks from our favorite farrier and fellow working mom, Katlin Johnson ❤️ it really does take a village to set our equine athletes up for success!

Pictured is our handsome stud Teo being the perfect patient for his first adjustment! He got ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for good behavior(we expected nothing less honestly).

A big delivery this week took a lot of effort to get stored away, but all worth it knowing our four legged friends will be happy heading into winter!

For those of you who follow this is old news (and if you don’t, why not?!), but our handsome Teo went on his first low key field trip to practice going places this week, helping begin his preparation to be a fantastic hunter and eventer.

He was a perfect angel and took all in stride like a champ - we can’t wait to see what else he achieves!

HHF has a couple rare openings starting Nov 1st! We have availability for 1 boarder, and one opening for an on-site half lease on the institution himself Dock!

We specialize in eventing/dressage, with outings to woodbrook hunt club for drag hunts, and we cross over to h/j outreach shows for additional cross training and fun! Centrally located 30min from tacoma and bremerton, 45min from Shelton, in gig harbor, wa right off of 302.

Boarders are required to take at least one lesson per week, or have their horse in partial or full training, in conjunction with boarding. We provide high quality timothy and alfalfa, all weather paddocks, with additional turnout to larger fields. We will feed grain once a day if it is provided and bagged. Outdoor sand arena and round pen, trails nearby. Full care starts at 625.

Dock is a 15.2hh extremely stout shire/paint gentleman looking for a youth or AA to show the ropes of eventing to. He's been around the block, packed countless kids over their first jumps, and around their first one days. He's schooled through preliminary but will be limited to beginner novice this coming season due to an old abscess that left a crack in his hoof thats still growing out. He's a fancy goofball that would love to show another rider around the block. Half lease is 580/mo, includes weekly lessons, and 2 independent rides weekly. Full lease option available for the right individual as well.

Last weekend, Hamilton Hill Farm took Arthur to and tried our hand at his FIRST Novice Level Run!

We started off with a 36 in dressage, putting us in 15th. We then jumped clean and smart around the cross country course, only adding a little bit of time faults and moving up to 11th. We finished off with a few rails in showjumping but he was brave and keen, finishing in 9th over all - a fantastic achievement for his first time out and one we here at the farm are all so proud of!

On to the next one!
