Oregon Department of Agriculture breaks all rules causing fear for pet food consumers.

80 dogs have arrived at our shelters since Christmas Eve. VCAS is currently operating at around 126% capacity for our dog kennels. We continue to take in lost animals at a far higher rate than they are adopted or reclaimed.

How you can help:

1. RECLAIM YOUR PETS! If transportation or finances are a barrier to reclaiming your animals, PLEASE ask us for help. We may be able to assist with returning dogs to their families. Reunion is always our number one goal.

2. ADOPT. Full process posted to vcas.us/adopt. Walk-ins are welcome.

3. We are asking those who find lost dogs to attempt reunification outside of the shelter if at all possible. Best practices for reuniting lost pets are outlined at vcas.us/lostandfound. Please email [email protected] with a photo of any found dogs, location found, and your best contact info and we will share online as we are able.
