Chestnut is doing well and thanks everyone for sending him all the well wishes. We are so thankful that it was detected early and that the treatment worked so quickly. We are on puppy #9 and mom is still having contractions. Puppies and momma are doing great. Mom's exhausted though.

Momma shredding a lot of bedding getting ready for her pups. We're in need of new or gently used sheets, blankets or large bath towels. Pee pads will be a huge necessity shortly too.

Huey
Huey has been with us since February 2019. He was removed from his home by Animal Control because of hoarding and neglect along with several other dogs. Our Hue Boo is the only one that made it out alive. He was extremely unsocialized and it took us a while to gain his trustâŚbut once he became comfortable, we could see the longing he had in his eyes for companionship, stability, and love. Yes, 5.5 years in rescue is a long time, but he still has a lot of life to live and we are determined to find someone for him to live it with.
We donât know how long it will take to find Huey a home, but if we have learned anything over the last 16 years, itâs that there IS a person for every dog. Dogs like Prince, Eddy, Bella, Mara, and Juliet taught us that if we look hard enough, we will find you. You are out there somewhere and we hope this message reaches you. đ
