It's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it! 😂 Tiffany is doing handling exercises on Espresso, which are very important to the puppies' development. Each week, the handling exercises get more “intense” as they grow. They will be used to having their teeth/gums touched, nails trimmed, feet and toes handled, rubbed everywhere from head to toe, bellies rubbed, tails handled, ears touched, and so on. This prevents issues down the road with common triggers for dogs, and familiarizes them with things they will inevitably experience in their new homes and throughout their lives. Carrie and Tiff start regular nail trimming and plenty of handling so that as the pups grow, they are accustomed to grooming and other forms of touch that could cause anxiety for a dog who was simply left alone in a playpen or crate before going to his furever home.
