Litter #2 is on the ground!

Pure Rio Bravo Hog Islands are here. 9 live, 1 doa and a handful of slugs. These guys are from unrelated Rio Bravo parents. Parents are pictured last. These are going to be some stunning Hogs if they take after Mom and Dad.

1.0 Gilbert T+ poss super snowglow ph blood

All but one of the Gilbert T+/T2 litter has shed and a few days earlier than usual. They look great. This is a snowglow, but not the first. I talked to Christopher Gilbert a couple days ago and he said that he made them already, but I'm thrilled with them anyway.
I got two T+ anery combos, a male and a female, out of 5. Pretty good odds. The other might be a snow, I'm waiting for her to shed to make the call.

1.1 Gilbert T+ Sunglow 66% het blood 100% het T2 anerys
While I wait for this pairs recent litter to shed, I though I'd post some pics of them.
As some of you noticed they proved out het for T2 anery. Their Dad produced a T2 Inca for Josh Brennan a few year ago, so my suspension that there were 2 T+/T2 combos in the litter of 5. One is definetly a poss super moonglow and the other may be a snow or moonglow. Im waiting on that 1st shed to make that call. Still great odds for me. Does anyone know if their has been Gilbert T+ snows and moonglows made yet? Could be a couple of worlds firsts. They are also 66% het for blood, but didnt prove. Not sure if both or just one didn't prove. Or maybe I just had bad odds and both will prove in a bigger litter. We will see next time.

Off the schneid for 2025!
Gilbert T+ sunglow × Gilbert T+ Sunglow.
Very small, but very cool litter is on the ground here at IRC. Finally a viable litter with live babies has broke my 💩 streak this season. Hopefully this is the start of big things. 5 live--2 slugs--1 still. Parent pictured last.

1.0 2021 VPI Keywest
Another VPI addition to the arsenal. This good looking boy was produced by Chaz at Lowkey. He is a big boy and won't have any problem handling the ladies.

I've been adding to my VPI stuff. Not a visual vpi, but will make some nice clean baby VPI Labbys next season.

2024 1.0 Pure Nicaraguan poss super Nic T+ Sunglow 66% het Nic T1 anery(Burke line)

Last year was my 6th litter in search of a worlds first Pure Nicaraguan T+/T1 moonglow and as per usual, I didnt hit the odds on the 3 gene combo. These guys are tiny and have tiny litters, so it's not as simple as it sounds. I did prove out the 1st time sunglow mom as a super and 100% het for Nic T1 anery. Unfortunately the patriarch male passed away in the off-season and I'm going to have to grow up a male from this litter to take over the duties. Very few people have these, and I dont know of a male out there that is Pure and also 100% het and/or visual for both recessive genes.

0.1 Pastel Dream Fire het Nic T+ Albino

This gorgeous girl was produced by Joe Black of Scaleface Boaz. This was his first litter and he hit it out of the park on his first swing. Can't wait to see how the Pastel Dream and fire combo does for the Nic T+ gene.

Litter #1 proves to be disappointing once again. I always seem to start out baby season with a turd of a litter. Pairing was 1.0 moonglow × 0.1 T1 anery het kahl. Not only was it mostly slugs, but all the non slugs were premature and still born. Now that I got that out of the way let's hope the rest of the years goes better.
